How did this guy go 6/6 despite having to go up against a man who has the most steals in NBA history? John Stockton with 3265 steals.

Amazing!

I must be nice being someone like lebron and bringing the ball down court without risk of it getting stolen by players with the most steals of all time. Guys like:

Jason Kidd 2,477 Steals
Gary Payton 2,445 Steals
Maurice Cheeks 2,310 Steals
Clyde Drexler 2,207 Steals
Julius Erving 2272
Clyde Drexler 2207
Hakeem Olajuwon 2162
Alvin Robertson 2112
Karl Malone 2085

Why is no one that lebron played against on that top 10 list? Easy answer. It's because players of his era aren't allowed to play defense in the first place. How the fvck do you manage to fail 6 times in the finals as a scorer when it's so easy to score? :lol

Sure, he played against some of the toughest competition. He also never beat the toughest competition.

As Robert Parish once said,

“Michael didn’t beat great teams, in my opinion. When Larry, Kevin and myself were in our heyday, he couldn’t beat us. He couldn’t get past the Pistons until Joe Dumars and Isiah Thomas got old. He couldn’t beat the Lakers in their prime. When he beat Phoenix, they only had one Hall of Famer- that was Barkley,” Parish said. “When he beat Seattle, they had one Hall of Famer: Payton. When he beat Portland, they had one Hall of Famer: Clyde Drexler. And he played with three Hall of Famers: Scottie, Dennis Rodman and himself; that’s three Hall of Famers on that team"

He wasn't capable of beating great teams like LeBron in 2016.

Not only that, but he had to go up against rules that where not perimeter friendly, specially compared to this season. Money is more important than the integrity of the game.

2001

"But there was one that might be bothersome, the zone defense. It was the topic du jour at last month's All-Star Game, and Jordan was making an impassioned plea before the competition committee that had gathered to consider rules changes to enliven the NBA game. Jordan spoke passionately. If teams were able to play zone defenses, he said, he never would have had the career he did.

LOL @ thinking lots of steals = great defense.... :oldlol:

Magic won the steals title 2 consecutive seasons and Iverson won it 3x

Both great, unbelievable defensive players........

Lebron has a gorgeous set of 0-4 Finals bookends. Guess he wanted the brooms on both sides to hold up his stiff arm / bulldoze posters?:applause:

OP not only that - Stockton is the All time ASSIST leader.
Jordan got him twice - like KD got LBJ twice. Course everyone gets a turn with LeFraud. IGGY was the FMVP.

LOL at this poor guy not seeing the correlation. :lol Add up the number of all nba defensive team selections for all the players on that top 10 list I posted. I didn't include MJ or Pippen, but they are in the top 10 as well for all time steals. But no... there's no correlation between steals and great defenders. None at all.

That is 100% correct. Doesn't make Mike wrong though in this case.
