View Full Version : Were perimeter defensive rules more in favour for the offense or defense in 90s?

Just curious as to the "evolution" of defensive rules between that arbitrary era and this arbitrary era.

It's all relative. Compared to this era they were vastly, vastly more in favor of the defense.

But in the 60s and 70s the rules were a little tougher for perimeter players. Then you add in the fact that there was no three point line. Much less space to work with.

Interesting that the poll is winning in the side of favouring defense.

Because in this era the rules definitely favour the offensive player.
