I remember names, not so much personality. One that pops into my mind was Hulk Hogan, because when he was Ethered people would post gifs like these.

We need more posters with names that have such gif readily available.

Other names I remember are TheLogo, GriffMoney and his other similar alt names like Kengriffin, JLauber. A lot of people that I can't remember, but if I saw their name I would wonder what happened to them. Like this guy with a Jabbar gif. I remember Droid, but only because I recentely saw an old thread with a post from him. That guy used to hate me so much.

KAMALA fo sho. Cant remember how long that account was active, I think it was fairly short lived before Jeff straight up deleted it altogether.

BEAST Griffin tho isnt affiliated with those others. I remember that user but it wasnt the same poster as all those others.

I think it died because the more footage that became available the less people could belittle his alleged athleticism - and Jlauber always had stat essays bookmarked.

Anyone remember the 24 inch vertical thread? That stuff fueled a lot of discussions along the lines of he was only special then but not special at all today - heck, maybe even underequipped by today's standards.

Now we've got footage of him blocking skyhooks, making shaq look tiny, and triple jumping in track and field. 7-8 armspan measured with Ali, etc etc. Kind of shattered the lets laugh at the black and white photo discussions I used to frequently see

Now he seems to just not be a topic of interest after that - I think posters only like polarizing players and topics
