This is a very vague statement TrollSmasher (but has SOME truth)
Here's what Christianity endorses that the right wing aligns with
- Faith
- Glorifying God
- Strong Family Structure
- Corporal Discipline
- Marriage
- Conservative Dress
- Male-led households
- Fiscal Responsibility
- High morals
- Leading Disciplined Lives
- Respect for Elders and Traditions
- Anti-Abortion
- Anti-homosexuality
Here's what Christianity advocates that the left wing aligns with
- Caring for the poor
- Tolerance for others
- Caring for the oppressed
- Being good to one's guest
- Humility
- Justice for citizens
- Equality for citizens
- Peace
- Charity/welfare
As for heretics in Christianity--- that would be most churches, no?
What Orthodox Christians practice in Russia is substantially different than what they do in megachurches down in the Southern U.S.?
Most have strayed from Jesus's original teachings.
Anywho--- this "right" vs "left" thing is very, uh, confusing and misleading.
Let's stick back to the basics---right and wrong. Good and evil.

That's a hard call to make.
The Bible endorses obedience to masters, and has stories of great kings like Solomon (AS)---but then it has stories of rebellion against the local powers that be in the examples of Jesus vs. Romans/Pharisees and Moses vs. Pharoah.
What exactly is "Christianity's" stance on government and rulership?

Which can be countered by...
John 5:30 30By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.
and
5. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 You must realize, however, that in the last days difficult times will come. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, unfeeling, uncooperative, slanderous, degenerate, brutal, hateful of what is good, traitors, reckless, conceited, and lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. They will hold to an outward form of godliness but deny its power. Stay away from such people.
It is an abomination to kings to do evil, for the throne is established by righteousness.
But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.

That's a very valid point.
It takes decades of scholarship to be qualified to derive legal rulings from interpret Scripture.

The idea of deriving legal rulings from interpretation of scripture is insane.
