Defenders are biting on the simplest fakes and then not even trying to recover. Meanwhile the “help” behind them are basically 6’10 matadors waving red capes.

He makes it look easy because he was that good. But his examples are a joke and obvious to anyone that knows anything about basketball that he's either trolling MJ haters or extremely idiotic.

In one clip he points to MJ in the post not being doubled, yet he's literally being doubled with another defender coming over.

Another example MJ is beating a double team and he switches hands mid air to avoid a block a 7 footer, yet he laughs and says "what the **** was that LOLLLL".

He says "this defence is pathetic" even tho he jumped in the air in traffic, switched from a shot to a pass that led to a layup around a defender IN MID AIR.

Shit, he's right. 90s defense is overrated. The same way you will say he cherry picked the worst examples.....isn't that what you boneheads do on a daily basis here on ish? And it goes both ways you Mj stans (and let's not kid ourselves you were the 1st ones to run in here) cherry pick the best clips that you want to represent 90s defense. The truth is somewhere in the middle of both sides. Todays best defense isn't that bad of you only show the best teams playing it and the 90s defense isn't so great if you show the bad teams play defense either.

One question on my way out: so basically the basis for 90s defense being "better" is simply physicality? because being able to lay unskilled hits on guys and literally push them into help isn't more difficult than not being able to touch your man and having to use you feet only. So if we're gonna say on one end this era is soft and you cant guard anyone then you also gotta acknowledge that the good defenders this era have to work harder than they did in the 90s. Im also not out to prove the 90s are better or worse than now, just pointing out a major inconsistency in your debates.
