How to fix the All Star Game

Biggest problem was the lack of defense. They tried to fix it by making it like a "Lebron picked team vs ___** team, hoping they'll be more motivated to compete and play defense.
League has to find a major sponsor/s that will reward the winning team and players for playing defense.
It has to be realistic though like you can't expect them to hold the other team for under 40%FG.
1.Every player from the winning team gets an extra 50K if they hold the other team for under 55%.
2.Additional 50k bonus if they hold the other team for under 150 pts.
3. Additional 10 K for the player who had the most blocked shots.

1 & 3 are terrible suggestions. yes we wanna see more defense but not THAT much defense.

2 is good, because it would make teams play seriously in the last quarter. thats enough.

Nobody will play hard in all-star game, and I don't expect them to. Imagine if someone elite tore their ACL or something in a meaningless exhibition game? Even a bad ankle sprain could be messy and potentially end their season. No team would ever forgive the nba if it cost their team the playoffs.

Maybe better solution would be to push all-star game to the off-week maybe the week after finals? If a sprain or something happens, you get whole summer to recover. Perhaps players would play harder then because it would be the last nba game they play until pre-season in September/October.

Hell, they could do it like nfl with their all-star game a week before the finals. Whichever player is going to be playing in finals doesn't play. Then you might see folks play hard since it would still be last game for them. :confusedshrug:

-Winning conference gets an extra team, losing loses one
