View Full Version : Lebron not asked to do more: 27.2 and 7.2 apg in 12/13/16 PO < 33.7 and 6.6 in 91-93

To win 3 rings, MJ scored a lot more with equal assists, and the gap is bigger in the Finals:

FINALS PER GAME THRU 31 (3 rings each):

Jordan Finals:. 36.3 ppg.. 6.6 rpg.. 7.9 apg.. 2.7 tov.. 2.0 spg.. 0.8 bpg.. 52.6 fg
Lebron Finals:. 27.0 ppg.. 9.9 rpg.. 7.2 apg.. 4.0 tov.. 1.9 spg.. 0.8 bpg.. 45.4 fg

How can anyone say lebron is asked to do more??... :biggums:

Its because people get fooled by lebron having the ball in his hands... :facepalm... but he's routinely out of the top 100 in points-per-touch - his style wastes time ... :confusedshrug:

Wait this thread is actually being serious? Well the quick and obvious answer is that competition is different. You're trying to compare what a guy puts up against a D1 school to a D2 school?

It's like comparing a guy's #s vs Kawhi, Iggy, Draymond, PG13 and then a guy's #s vs Hornacek, Porter, Ehlo, Starks, Russell.

Got it?

^^^^ Kyrie carried an equal scoring load and defensive attention in this series

So mj's 1993 was better because he scored 20 more than Pippen and his record 41 ppg was 11 more than lebron

And MJ taking out Magic's Lakers in 91' was better too (the only player ever to average 10+ apg without playing PG)

brilliant. I love the NBA Forum here in ish:applause: :applause: . There is a huge variety of topics.

lets somehow bring Kobe into this topic   so we can discuss Lebron, MJ and Kobe. That would be awesome.

How do you respond to the stats showing that MJ needed to score 7 more ppg in the playoffs and 9 more in the Finals to win 3 rings? (with equal assists)

MJ did more, and the media is simply ignorant for not seeing it, or forgetting...

Ultimately, people get fooled by lebron having the ball in his hands, but he's routinely out of the top 100 in points-per-touch - so his style wastes time

Which Finals does LeBron win averaging 4 rebounds and 2 assists?
Which Finals does LeBron have a teammate (PIPPEN) average 21/9/8 with elite defense?
Which Finals does LeBron win averaging 27 on 41% versus a 6'2 defender?

Which Finals does MJ win averaging only 2 - 6 points more than his 2nd option?? (MJ needed 10-20 more than 2nd option to win all his Finals)

Which Finals does MJ win with shit leadership like 17, 18, and 17 points to start the series, thus needing a HOF teammate to hit a saving 3-pointer? (MJ had no HOF teammates that were clutch or could shoot)

Did lebron get those 10+ apg without playing PG like MJ in 1991?

Nope

Only MJ got 10+ without playing pg, or 11+

Btw, MJ turned it over twice at the end of game 1 of 95' ecsf.. so no teammate got a chance to shoot.. accordingly, MJ never passed to a teammate for the last shot and they missed... Surely because his fearlessness was contagious and aura too great.. whereas lebron lost a bunch by passing to teammates, proving he's inferior

i'm not taking anything away from that, but the differences are assists and rebounds, right? jordan wasn't averaging those numbers because he was a guard playing in a system, not a forward playing AS the system.

Didn't look that way losing in the first round 3 years in a row

Or to Detroit 3 years in a row

Take Rondo, Ingram and Ball off this Laker team

The remaining cast is equivalent to what MJ turned into the goat dynasty

And yet he never bitched for more help or teamed up with bird, or whoever the #2 player in the league was at the time.. and then added 2 more HOF's on top of that.. yet still went 2/4 with goat choke and record defeat.. the definition of underwhelming.. you can't make this stuff up..

You can post his 2016 stats all you want, but they get no respect compared to MJ because lebron never:

- he never scored 40 ppg in the Finals

- he never hit the big shot to win the Finals

- he never scored 20 more than his 2nd option to win a Finals

MJ did all 3 of these things in the 93' Finals... :confusedshrug:

so MJ's 93' > lebron's 2016, where lebron scored 11 less, while a teammate carried an equal scoring load and hit the big shot.. seriously, there's no comparison
