How many DPOY awards would Bill Russell have if the award existed back then?

The DPOY wasn't an award until the early 80s.

Any thoughts on Russell? I am definitely not old enough to have watched his career but I have seen games and everything I've ever read or heard fall out of the Mr. Russell's mouth and other guy's mouths about Mr. Russell leads me to believe his understanding of the game was better than anyone else's throughout NBA history.

And he is extremely renowned for his defense... I wonder... Would 10 be about right? More? Less?
