R. Kelly Indicted

An indictment has been handed down against musician R. Kelly by the Cook County State's Attorney office, two sources with knowledge of the development tell CNN.

A grand jury was convened in Cook County, Illinois, earlier this month in connection with new allegations against Kelly, two sources close to the case told CNN.

That came on the heels of attorney Michael Avenatti announcing he had handed over to the State's Attorney's Office a videotape that he said showed Kelly having sex with an underage girl.

Steve Greenberg, an attorney for Kelly, told CNN earlier this month he had not been notified of a grand jury. After being asked about the new tape, he said separately he and his colleagues were unaware of any new information involving Kelly.

CNN has seen the VHS tape that appears to show Kelly having sex with a girl who refers to her body parts as 14 years old.

The newly unearthed footage, which lasts 42 minutes and 45 seconds, is clear and explicit.

I wonder if he will try to throw his brother under the bus again.

R Kelly and his people probably kept it under the rug all this time, but the documentary airing may have pushed someone in his inner circle to leak it.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a cabinet filled with such sex tapes in his personal collection showing him doing it with many underage girls over the years, but this one tape was taken by someone in his circle years ago. Nobody would notice it was taken.

Whole story is messed up but easily believable. When you have hundreds of millions and famous/loved by so many (especially teenage girls), you can probably find 13-14yr old girls lining up for sex for a few bucks. The documentary showed that this sick bastard gave concerts at middle schools to predate on girls - it would be easy for him to get their numbers and meet him privately. Hell, the parents probably would drop their daughter off at a hotel for a "private singing audition" with R Kelly and no idea what would happen later. R Kelly gets his people to bring the girl up to his room and leave them all alone. These girls would do anything with him that he wanted and he would maybe throw few hundred bucks to keep them quiet. That would be the end. Most of the girls would never say anything to anyone because they got to sleep with their idol R Kelly.. :confusedshrug:
