Stats can't be compared between different eras due to rules, competition.

That said, it's obvious Wilt has the best stats.

Game winners (none in Finals)
Elim game points (went 7 with weak teams, was down to weak teams)
Triple dubs in Finals (no 40 ppg)
6k (less points thru 50 games, 100 games, 500 games, you name it - less per game)
Steals (per game again)

So if we're eliminating the bottom 3, then mj's stats would be 36/7/8 (91-93)

Why are we holding it against LeBron that he was able to make the Finals
more than MJ? (9/15 vs 6/15 frequency) :oldlol:

You're trying to excuse lebron's poor play

That doesn't work

If you get to cherry-pick, than MJ fam does too

And if we're cherry-picking, then MJ destroys lebron; if we don't cherry-pick, MJ still destroys him

Ultimately, both guys have 12 ECF or Finals wins - lebron has 9 and 3, compared to mj's 6 and 6 - but obviously, Jordan's 3 extra Finals wins > lebron's 3 extra conference finals wins

How does 3ball not know by now that LeBron James definitely has Superior stats? That's not even up for debate

Do you even know how to math? Seriously, this site is so ridiculous .

This Lebron vs MJ debate is pointless. LBJ hasn't passed KAJ, Wilt, Magic, Shaq, Duncan, Bird or dare I say Kobe yet.:facepalm

losing to the West in the Finals means Lebron wouldn't make the Finals in the west... :confusedshrug:

So we hold the Finals appearances against him because he lost, which makes the appearances conference-dependant, and therefore meaningless.

Ultimately, both guys have 12 ECF or Finals wins - lebron has 9 and 3, compared to mj's 6 and 6 - but obviously, Jordan's 3 extra Finals wins > lebron's 3 extra conference finals wins

LeBron made the Finals at 22 years old, while MJ got swept in the 1st round at 22. Yikes :lol

MJ was a rookie while lebron had 4 years to build his team, but MJ still performed much better regardless of whether we look at age or season:

By age 22-23, MJ averaged 44 against the champs and their #1 defense, versus 22 for lebron

By their 4th healthy seasons (07' and 89'), MJ took the champs 6 games, while lebron was swept

:confusedshrug:

It makes sense to compare their Top 6 Finals. If Jordan wasn’t good enough to make more than 6 Finals that’s on him, no excuses.

If lebron needs 9 Finals to find 6 that compare to MJ's, then that's on lebron.. and if he isn't good enough to do better than 3/9, then that's on him too

He simply can't play as good as MJ on the championship level

And MJ got better stats while winning, while lebron must employ a losing style to get stats.. so lebron's stats are padding and meaningless...

Totally meaningless.. Heck, you or I could've replaced lebron in the 14' and 18' Finals and the result would be the same: record defeat..

And lebrons 28/10/8 is better than MJs 33/6/6

Double the rebounds and assists, while only getting 3 less ppg??

MJ allowed a better brand of ball and more team assists by playing off-ball, so the apg stats are meaningless

And lebron's defensive rebounds don't offset mj's scoring advantage

That's without considering mj's huge advantages in defense and clutch shots

So MJ wins easily.

You're proving our point - #2 in playoff scoring and PER/PPG and 6/6 easily trumps #1 in scoring (longevity / weak east teams he barely beat due to so many game 7's) and only 3 rings.

You're also showing that Russell isn't anywhere near the top playoff scorer.

Nice post - crappy Photoshop though. The blend tool isn't hard to use moron.

MJ scores at a higher volume but LeBron is more efficient

LeBron is a better rebounder

LeBron is a much better playmaker so obviously he wins in assists

LeBron has better defensive stats

LeBron has better longevity stats

Peakwise they're about equal

LeBron wins in VOP and BPM and RAPM

They're roughly equal in peak wins shares and PER

Overall LeBron wins
