LeBron James doesn’t view Brandon Ingram as a wingman: ‘B.I. is very special"

"Over his last 15 games, Ingram is averaging 19.3 points per game on 52.7 percent shooting from the field, to go along with 5.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. The only players to match or supersede those averages during that time are Julius Randle, Nikola Vucevic, Karl-Anthony Towns, Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Elite company.

It’s certainly possible that this is just a hot streak for Ingram, but everything he’s shown on the court over the past several weeks suggests that he’s simply just starting to figure it out. If this is the Ingram the Lakers are going to get on a night-to-night basis, their playoff push is going to be a lot more interesting."

it's a shame that these Lakers aren't projected to compete for a championship - they're loaded - better young talent than Kobe or MJ ever had..

Of course we're loaded. We didn't tank 3 seasons in a row just for scraps. The only real misses if you will are Lonzo and Clarkson.

Randle
Ingram
Kuz
Russell

They all are, more or less solid picks.

Ingram and Kuz are all-star level talent, growing each day.

Ingram and Kuz are obvious championship level pieces.

They would've been better if Rondo/Kuzma/Ball were healthy.. 2 to 4 more wins easily and about .500

But no one is considering the injuries of those other 3 guys. They were actually on a roll right before Lonzo/Kuzma went down again.. that's when ingram was all alone and put up 16-20 - the best player on the floor vs philly

Ingram is already a better ball-handler then pippen ever was and further ahead at everything else at 21-years old.. and I know guys develop certain skills at a young age nowadays, but ingram still isn't commonplace.. he's actually one of the cutting edge players we have in this league, along with doncic and others - guys that are 6'9" with full-fledged guard handle - it's still not that common.

And here's another reality for you to swallow - Ingram is a real ball-handler and superior to Tatum, who is just a catch-and-shoot player.. I never thought I'd say that about Tatum, but his best value is a catch-and-shoot player with a potential go-to turnaround one day.. but that's it - he'd be better off spending the summer with Reggie Miller and learning all his tricks, than Kobe

Meanwhile The 2013 Lakers went 3-1 when a certain brick thrower missed games.. Shit they could have matched the Lakers win total without Bron in 4 more games.. LOL

BTW Ingrams numbers come as either the first option and second option because most of those stats were put up when Bron was gone.. And they went 6-12.. Ingram is a nice player but makes too many mistakes at this point in his career.. He can also defend pretty well unlike Kuzma.. People are just missing the point that Lebron doesnt have time for the youngsters to develop.

Lebron is old and slow COMPARED to the SUPERSTARS he will be going against in the playoffs.. Still he can compete but not when your teammates dont know how to play winning bball.. As soon as Lebron started controlling the game the Lakers made a comeback.. HATE ALL YOU WANT .. DUDE IS TOP THREE ALL TIME..
