To stan or not to stan

I've seen some polls listed about which "fam" you are in, but they are all set up really poorly, since the two choices are just like flipped a coin with two heads.

Here's the choice that matters when it comes to who has earned their spotlight and high place in history:

Kobe, LeBron, and Kareem have stans

MJ, Bird, and Magic don't really have stans.

I'm guessing/hoping we have more non-stans here than stans. But we shall see.

There are no Jordan stans that I've seen. I mean if someone says he'd beat Kobe 11-0 in a one-on-one game, I'd say they have gone full stan. Stuff like that. But the default position is that he's in a class by himself. People who watched him closely, know this. People who have never watched basketball know this. So unless 99.9% of the world are Jordan stans (at which point it has lost all meaning), we don't really have any.

Interesting that Kobe stans, LeBron stans, and Kareem stans are all silent now because they don't want to be associated with each other!!!

MJ/Bird/Magic stans are frequent, you can see the old discussions via google groups which archives usenet, most if them just don't frequent forums. You'll find them on facebook or youtube comments these days

Always thought Wilt/Kareem stans just stan them to be edgy. Vast majority of them at least
