After getting defeated in the 2006 and 2007 NBA skills challenge by Wade, LeBron became so insecure and embarrassed about his skills that he wanted no part of the dunk contest. All-star weekend lights were too bright for him just like they were for 6 of his finals. Again, this is a guy who had Nike confiscate a tape of him being dunked on and has to wear check my stats shirts just keep up his self esteem.

LeBron isn't really a creative dunker, look at his dunk contest when he was in high school, nothing out of this world. I think he realized that about himself and never put himself in the dunk contest.

Damn he did?!?!?! But Kobe stans told me Kobe was the most skilled player ever and Wade just relied on his athleticism. How come Wade annihilated Mr. Skillz then?

He’s just afraid of failure. He’s admitted it. So that’s why yes so prone to quitting or not even trying to compete. In essence a coward. Same thing with women. He doesn’t hit on them with masculinity face to face, he creepily tries to slide in DMs only to get denied.

Lebron is simpy not a great dunker.

I don't think Lebron ever had a dunk as flashy as Paul Geroge's 360 at the All Star game in his career.

There is a difference in being afraid of failure and not participate knowing you will never possibly win.

LeBron has had some crazy dunks wtf. He could win the dunk contest, especially since the voters would likely favor him lol
