Criteria - Your team is down 3, 2, 1 pt. You hit a shot to force OT or the go-ahead / winning shot. IE Big Pressure shots only. Do or die - all the chips on the table. Doesn't have to be a close out game but certainly adds to the relevance.

Points tacked on afterwards as a result of the other team fouling you does not count. For example Kerr's big shot in 97 Finals Game 6 with 5 seconds left - while a big shot for sure, the Bulls were tied 86-86 (prior to the shot) with Utah, so it doesn't meet the criteria. Kukoc's 2 free throws wouldn't count either as Utah found Chicago to try to extend the game/series.

Let's come up with a list of all the ones we can think of.

1984 Game 2 NBA Finals - Gerald Henderson steals the ball and then sends game into OT for Boston. Had he missed, who knows if Boston would have won that series at all.

1987 - Game 4 - Magic's Skyhook to give LA the win 107-106 over Boston with 2 seconds left.

1991 Game 3 @ LA - Jordan hits a huge shot down 2 to send the game into OT. Had he missed LA would've stolen home court and been up 2-1. CHI ended up winning in OT.

1993 NBA Finals Game 3 - Down 2, Paxson hits a huge 3 to give the Bulls the 99-98 advantage and won the series.

1998 - Game 6 @ Utah - Jordan's most famous come from behind shot to win the game. Final score CHI 87 Utah 86.

2004 - Kobe's huge game tying 3 to send the game to OT, and LA's only win. While clearly Kobe is the primary reason LA lost the series with his chucking, still a big shot and meets the criteria.

2005 - NBA Finals game 5 - Robert Horry hit the game winner in OT - from behind - final score SAS 96 DET 95.

2013 - NBA Finals Game 6 - Ray Allen's big 3 to tie the game to take it to OT. Might be the biggest shot of all - the greatest do or die shot ever in the history of the NBA.

Sure I've missed tons - feel free to add on.

Why doesn't LeBron have any in the finals? Is it because he's had more attempts than everyone else and still isn't clutch? 0-9

Even Kobe has 2. He also made a game winner on a ridiculous offensive rebound against the Pacers in the 2000 Finals in Game 4. It was 118-117 on the scoreboard, and his play made it 120-117, but after a timeout they either reviewed a shot and it was revealed that the Pacers had actually had 118, so it was a tie game when Kobe made that play and it was thus a game winner. :applause:

MJ has been involved in too many:

1. 1991 NBA Finals Game 3 game-tyer
2. 1997 NBA Finals Game 1 game-winner over Russell
3. 1997 NBA Finals Game 5 go-ahead 3-pointer
4. 1997 NBA Finals Game 6 series-winning assist to Kerr
5. 1998 NBA Finals Game 1 tying-assist to Longley to send the Game to OT.
6. 1998 NBA Finals Game 6 series winning steal and shot

If the score is tied I'm not counting that - only the finals and shots where your team is behind - you either shoot to go ahead or to tie. Much less pressure when you're up or tied - you miss and worse case it's OT.
So Kobe's 1st one doesn't meet that criteria.

Already mentioned #1.
#2 - Same thing, score tied. Huge shot and certainly a "game winner" - I'm just talking about from behind or to tie.
#3 - Good one - absolutely another come from behind shot by Jordan in the finals.
#4 - Not the final shot, and the Bulls won by 4 points. Utah fouled Kukoc to try to stop the clock - Bulls won 90-86 so doesn't meet the criteria. Still huge of course, and the biggest shot by far of Kerr's career.

#5 - Excellent, agree.
#6 - Already mentioned.
