Games they should win

@MEM
vs NO
@ PHX
vs LAC
@CHI
@DET
@NYK
vs BKN
vs SAC
vs WAS
vs CHA
@NO
@LAC

So they should be able to win at least 10 of these 13 and upset a few teams here & there, overall I'm going with 14 - 9 with a 43 - 39 overall finish, which could be enough for the POs if they beat the Clippers & Kings and those teams slide a bit. Clippers have Rockets, Lakers, GSW & Utah in their last four games, those could all be potential losses. Kings have a bunch of tough road games on their schedule that could all result in Ls.

I'd rather we made the Playoffs though... I see a bunch of winnable games on the schedule and I'm expecting them to win most of the easy games and at least make it to a .500 record, anything less is unacceptable. I'd love it if we at least had a showdown in April for the Playoff spot, would be more exciting than anything that's happened since Kobe's last game.

Shaquille O'Neal
02-24-2019, 01:58 PM
They are just a .500 team basically. Haven't seen any big streak from them this year - just going to be more of the same.

12-11 the rest of the way out - misses playoffs. Would not be surprised if some sort of "injury" sidelines James the rest of the way.

42 wins seems about right.

Far as the Clippers...

If they make the playoffs they give Boston their pick right? But if they miss they keep it....

Whats their motivation to make it?

Shaquille O'Neal

I think LA will end up 9th - don't see them passing the Kings.
However - if the seeding is firmly set for the good teams - I could see other teams sitting out players the last 5 games of the season and LA taking advantage.

But Kings only have to go 12-11 to make 43 wins, and Clippers 10-12. 42 wins probably won't be enough.

BRUTAL schedule but they should be able to manage near .500 basketball. 11-12 the rest of the way, nowhere near enough for the playoffs. Too bad :(

Marchesk

Problem with the Lakers is their inconsistency. They can beat good teams on occasion like Boston or GS, and then lost a couple games in a row to crap teams.

So it's hard to see them finishing strong enough to make the playoffs against that schedule without the other two teams collapsing.

Unless Lebron really activates playoff mode and Lonzo coming back helps a lot. This assuming Lebron is up for that at this point in his career.

i just watched an interview with bran talking about why the season tanked when questioned...

he said it happened because himself and rondo missed 5 weeks.. headed into the new year, and it set a bad tone. And the young guns needed more experience / learning, that he needed to be patient with them.

:wtf:

this mfer wont take an ounce of responsibility.

Making the playoffs outweighs getting the 14th pick in a very weak draft by a couple of tons. Of course, Ballmer will make more money, which isn't a key contribution when you consider how well off he is. But the experience for the young guys will pay dividends, and if they have a good series, their value will skyrocket ala Tatum/Brown being considered way more valued than Ingram/Kuzma by many. Throw in the fact that they also save a bit of salary from the first round cap hold AND will have more flexibility in trades this summer with their own '20 frp, and it's a no-brainer.

Do you dumbasses realize that LeBron missing the playoffs is the best thing that has ever happened to him

1. He gets a full off-season of rest he's going into next season fresher than he's ever been in his career

2. We get a lottery pick which is going to be used in the AD trade

I win again :D
