View Full Version : Why are Kobe stans comparing past-prime Bran

StrongLurk
02-24-2019, 09:35 PM
To past-prime Kobe? Surely Kobe stans realize that there is literally no argument for past-prime Kobe > past-prime Bran.

Bran literally just has to stay healthy for like 40 more games or so and he FLIES by past-prime Kobe easily.

I'm just confused on all the stans claiming Kobe is > Bran based on what has happened so far this season.

Actually that was the LeBron Stans that started that because they’re already making concessions for the fact that LeBron might not make the playoffs. Once again loser LeBron supporters much like their idol, lowering the bar and making excuses.

Kobe at at the same age in 2013 dragged an injured old Laker team into the playoffs kicking and screaming in possibly an even more difficult conference before he unfortunately blew out his Achilles in the process right before the playoffs

Yea he only had a 26 year old Dwight Howard, Steve Nash, Gasol, Artest!!

Poor Kobe!!
Dwight was coming off back surgery :facepalm

The rest were old and decrepit. Nash was ancient by the , and I think broke his leg and like never played again.

Gasol was burnt out and didn’t mesh basketball wise with an injured Dwight.

LeBron is playing with a young core of up and coming stallions that won 35 games last year with multiple injuries and he still can’t get his young athletic team to play defense, because he, himself, is lazy.

Kobe at 34 was going 27/6/6 and locking up Kyrie defensively.

Gasol had his career year in Chicago the following season

Dwight played 75 games and averaged 20/10 consistendly on elite D

33yo Artests and still top defensive perimeter players

Identical record to JLin and Baby Harden's Rockets

Yeah doesn't even compare to inexperience 20yo's and their overwhelming amount of injuries this season

While that Lakers team was old, Kobe still had a better supporting cast than Lebron currently does. Also, that Lakers team wouldn't have made the playoffs if Kobe missed a month of the season due to injury.

CLEARLY the current Lakers with 34 year old Lebron (who is better slightly better than 34 year old Kobe) never missing a month of play would have made the playoffs. Hell, even besides Lebron the rest of the Lakers players have missed a ton of games due to injuries. That's clearly the only reason why the Lakers fell off so hard.

34 year old Kobe was also TRASH on defense at that point in his career. I watched a ton of Lakers games when Kobe played and he had a very good offensive year for being 34 years old (like Lebron). But his defense was garbage.

No LeBron’s current cast is better than Kobe’s 2013.

Injuries, old age, poor chemistry, malcontents, and old legs while on paper being more talented doesn’t equate to being better in reality.

Also that was superior western conference competition.

LeBron has currently some young studs. More yourhful legs, and energy. Plus, basically two 20 points per game caliber scorers.

Yes even the worst defender in the league had a prolonged instance of going one on one on an island with one of the best ISO scorers and ball handlers ever and locking them down in embarrassing fashion as a 34 year old.

:oldlol:
Lmao, I'm not gonna search for one good defensive play from LeBron this season and act like that's an indication of his current defensive ability. LeBron's a bad defender now, as Kobe was in 2013, why you're trying to act otherwise, I honestly don't know :lol

But the last 5 years, you're pushing it. Look at what LeBron did to Curry in the '16 Finals. And that was for more than one play, that was for a 7 game series
