Peak Shaq only existed in like 3 postseasons, unsurprisingly they won it all in those years. A combination of that and Kobe breaking out in the 2000 season is what made them a dynasty. Phil also deserves a shout out since his leadership in managing egos definitely played a role, although in many ways it also made the relationship Shaq and Kobe had even worse over time.

Anyway, Shaq was still mostly clueless in the 90s (he became a different monster after the 1999 sweep) and started becoming lazy and cancerous after his 2002 surgery, he was talented/dominant enough to still contribute years after but I won't call anything past 2002 playoffs peak Shaq

Shaq played well enough on his own to have won as early as 95. The Magic lost mostly due to their role players being outplayed moreso than any differences between pre-prime Shaq and peak Hakeem in that matchup.
