I always felt it was a shame that he became a journeyman. Hes someone who should’ve latched on with a contender and stayed for 15 years like Manu. He could play three positions make highlight passes and acrobatic plays. He’s the type who could’ve gotten his jersey retired and been a local legend if he stayed anywhere long enough.

Brent Barry and Manu formed the perfect backcourt together. Both superb passers, Barry was a better shooter though. Manu was the better driver, but Barry was much safer with the ball when it really mattered. The combo was lethal in crunchtime.

Wish the Spurs were able to find him a lot sooner than they did. It would have solved their backup pg problems that sank them in the playoffs during the Lakers run.

Really nice guy too. Deserved a better finish than he got here.
