and very well could end up with a player like Reddish or Bol Bol with that extra pick. Trae is close enough to Luka and might possibly be better in the long run that if that extra pick becomes either of them and they reach their peak it would have been well worth the trade in the long run.

This is the truth he is for sure more Nash than Curry. He can hit long shots like Curry but thats not his best asset his passing and playmaking ability that makes his teammates better is what he does best. The massive point outburst he gives is just a bonus on top of that.

He has the skills of Nash for sure. Trae is a better passer than curry ever was right now. He just has a more aggressive mindset than Steve and more swagger both of which aren

He was clowned by everyone, called a bust in the summer league, called too small and weak. ALL of that one top of being the guy traded for Luka Doncic and having intense pressure to deliver.

Why would a 5th pick have the most pressure?

Doncic was feared to be a soft Euro bust.

Doncic was feared to be a soft Euro bust.
Why would the 3rd pick have the most?

Trae was the most dominant player in college and was labeled a bust by pretty much everyone before the draft.

Everyone laughed at the hawks for the trade.

He might not have had the most

Best thing about that is not only will we probably get 2 more top 10 picks 1 being top 5 and 1 being 6th to 10th probably from the Mavs. But in 2020 we have 80 to 100 mil in cap space to actually add players to this. I am praying we have enough young talent and upside with Trae, Collins, Bembry, Huerter, and the 2 top 10 picks coming this year to attract 1 or 2 elite level players that we can throw max contracts at to join them in 2020. If you can get 2 max level players to make trae and collins as your 3rd and 4th options while they are young we might have something cooking in 2 or 3 years.

This is some nice revisionist history. The one with the most pressure was Doncic by a monumental margin. Then the #1 pick and then Trae.
I'd say Doncic, then Trae.
That said, the one who got the most hate, not pressure, was Trae, and it's not like it was his fault he got traded.

Yeah put his court vision and shooting with an elite player or 2 and that be trouble. The boy can shoot but to me his court vision is the best thing about him. It's very underrated

That’s not true at all. The pressure for Trae to deliver was insanely high. Luka had next to no pressure and was the golden boy otherwise the trade wouldn’t have been called one of the worst of all time on draft night.

:wtf: :wtf:

Luka had perhaps the most pressure a rookie has ever had since Bran. He was heralded to be the MVP of Europe, imagine he came over here and was a complete bust? He would be the laughingstock of basketball.

Trae had a lot of pressure as well no doubt, but WTF is the bolded lol. Luka had INSANE pressure.

Stephen Curry is his comparison. It's just Trae got himself into a better head start when it comes to starting a career.

Trae has a different style though. His first instinct is to knife into a defense. Steph was always a little more calculated and 3pt based, which is reasonable because there’s never been a better 3 point shooter. Or even on his level.

Honestly Trae is more like Harden than Curry.

Steph is not his comparison as the only thing both of them really do similar is shoot long 3's. Trae's game is modeled after Steve Nash quoted from himself with the elite lvl vision and passing along with the driving to the lane with floaters. He is probably a little quicker than Nash with better range than Nash. But other than that they are pretty comparable in how they go about their business.
