Griffin, assuming he was being honest and not just afraid to admit that he couldn't control James, was speaking about how LeBron was with him. He even said he didn't know how the relationship with the Lakers ownership/management worked.

Wrt Demps, yes, there is one theory out there that he purposely leaked all this to sabotage the Lakers. But if he did, no one in LA seems willing or anxious to point this out.

As far as remaking the team, sure, but offering virtually everyone for one superstar is a little steep.


People don’t realize, the West teams played badly when they traveled East and East Teams played better when they traveled West, due to the weather.

I haven't seen the numbers that bear this out, but assuming it's true, I'd think it's more due to the time difference than weather. When you fly from the WC to the EC, you lose three hours, in addition to the 6 hours or so flying time plus getting to and from the airport. If you leave in the morning, you don't get settled in till early evening, so most of the day is gone. Whereas coming the other way, you're settled in not that much later in the day than when you left. And when you sleep, the W-E travel means you tend to go to bed very late, and either oversleep or get up earlier than your body needs. Whereas E-W means you're ready to sleep earlier, and get up earlier.
