George, Curry, and Durant all play with other MVPS. Leonard doesnt but his team is on pace for the exact same record they had with Demar with nobody caring about him. The rockets took a massive step back. They went from like 65 wins to now being I think 2 games up from the Clippers. They are a bad week from being the 8th seed. I dont think it happens but...they have not been that good. Injuries...but it is what it is.

I dont know who to make #2. Jokic and George are where id lean right this moment.

I think Giannis basically has it locked up. Milwaukee would need to go on a huge losing streak or something. Nobody's going to catch his numbers.

Jokic is his biggest competition I think. Denver has no other stars. Great depth, someone like Murray could eventually be a star but not there yet. He's doing something we haven't really seen much by a C before. Leading his team in PPG, APG, RPG, SPG. While it's very unlikely if the Nuggets somehow finished ahead of the Warriors with Jokic being the only All-Star I think he comes the closet to Giannis. George has been amazing but currently the Nuggets are ahead of OKC and nobody would have seen that coming had you said George was having an MVP type season with Westbrook being the second best player.

Hasn't Jokic had games where he's had 2 points the entire game this season? 3 games with 4pts. One foul trouble, another blowout win. 3rd he had 10 dimes.

He's a unique player. A center who can truly dictate traffic and orchestrate plays. Scoring isn't his focus. He strikes me as someone who's totally oblivious to how many (insert stat) he's got, he just plays, and is pretty darn good at it.

There's something (in modern basketball sense) romantic about a center winning MVP in this day and age. Unless his team secures HCA throughout he likely won't be strongly considered, but regardless his (and Denver's) is as cinderella story a season as there has been in quite some time.

PG. Harden. Curry. Durant. They are all performing at a very high level, I feel we're splitting hairs here. As always, it comes down to (the coolest) narrative, and two young (24yo) stars potentially leading their teams to the best record in their conferences for the first time in their careers in the same season is rare.
