Yeah, I'm sure Kobe makes the playoffs with Cleveland his first two years :lol

since lebron was a year older coming into the league it would be 1998 allstar kobe and 1999 all nba kobe on the 04 and 05 cavs

i think they could get to 36-46 to make it in 04

and then 42-40 to make it in 05

36 wins would be easy for the kobe that was dropping 35 on MJ multiple times

then 1999 kobe who was basically 2000 kobe by then and had a great playoff series vs sanantonio while shaq shit the bed

people forget how great kobe was by age 19/20... he wasn't always that utah air ball speacialist 18 year old kid

afro kobe was a killer from day one

lebrons averaging 27/9/8 on the season right now

he's never looked worse yet he's averaging his 3rd best line of his career

his numbers have lied throughout his career and never more so today with the way the leagues changed

prime kobe in the east during last years playoffs would average 45ppg/8rpg/5apg

Kobe doesn't need 8 shooters around him to be effective, he'd get more out of a poor 3 point shooting team than LeBron.

they won 35 games last year.

:biggums:

:hammerhead:

and projected for ~40 with that kuzma/ingram/randle/lonzo core this year.

'06 Kobe wouldve won 50-55 games with that squad, with repeat potential down the road.

They had ZUbac, LOPEZ, and Randle who put up 16 and 8 in 26 minutes a game.. Their two best bigs and they lost their remaining big because MAGIC is just loco..

BOTH TPOLS AND Doranku are comparing PRIME kOBE TO 56K minute Bron..

EVEN THEY KNOW WHO THE BETTER PLAYER IS.. :applause:

And I doubt PRIME Kobe would ever win more than 40 games with this current roster and Walton as their coach.. Even in Kobe 's prime cuz Kobe would never let these guys touch the ball.. THey went 6-12 without BRON..

So with Kobe they would probably win 35 games..

Current Lebron vs Prime Kobe is close in terms in impact.. But Lebron is still better because Kobe usually doesnt improve the teams record. He is very much like KYRIE IRVING..

Kobe and Kyrie are guys that can put a very good team over the hump with their great one on one skills but they never impact the record much..

34 year old LeBron is missing the PO's with nearly as many minutes played as Brick in 20 seasons. Meanwhile Brick was missing the PO's during his PEAK.

Lets not forget that Brick was making the PO's on a 42 win team, while LeBron was missing the PO's with the same number of wins.

This Lakers team won 35 last year and has more experience even with the roster shakeup. You'd think the "best player in the world" would get this team 50+ wins all things considered but it's debatable if he's even the most impactful player on the team. Lonzo's injury hurt us more than LeBron's injury, especially our defense

Considering the 06 and 07 Lakers were a 20 win at BEST without Kobe and they won more than 2x that many games there's no intelligent argument that prime Kobe couldn't win at least 50 games with a far better supporting cast like the 19 Lakers.

There are shades of 05 Lakers but that supporting cast was way worse and they were on pace for ~46 wins before Kobe's injury but by the time he came back Odom was out, coaching changed, and the g-league roster wasn't enough. It ultimately made Kobe a much better player from then on but the similarities end there, what's happening with LeBron is far worse

And trust me, they wouldn't have done much better if LeBron didn't get hurt, most of their worst losses came recently after he came back
