Obviously you re-sign Klay. That's pretty much a no brainer, right?

I'm not so sure about Draymond after next season. He used to be so vital but I think he's fallen off a lot... haven't caught a lot of Ws games but he just doesn't seem like the same guy. Is it because he's getting older or is it because of the fact that he's a 5th option or what?

I think they'd be best served, if they lose Durant, by parting ways with Draymond and Cousins and just adding a massive amount of depth around Curry and Klay. IDK though. Their depth has been steadily dwindling over the years... it's pathetic now. Thoughts?

Draymond's only 28 so he shouldn't be declining. It's probably more like he's taking a backseat with Boogie there now.

Even if the Warriors lose KD they'll probably still be contenders for at least another 2-3 years, provided they can at least keep Klay and Boogie. Curry's usage will go back up and he'll be able to dominate like he did in 2016 again.

So they have Curry.

I think I'd trade Klay for a guy like Joe Harris. And I'd have enough cap space to go after Lauri Markkannen and Kyle Kuzma.

Curry
Harris
Kuzma
Markkannen
Cousins

That's a really good lineup. Everyone can shoot the 3 and the team can run.

With the rules we have today offense is a lot more valuable than defense.

Durant is leaving, and I have a feeling klay is too. Durant is obviously not replaceable but and not to to downplay klay, but there are plenty of 3 and D players out there. Klay is obviously a notch above the rest but his role is at least somewhat serviceable.

Curry and cousins is a nice duo, but they lack defense which is why they need to keep draymond. Add a solid wing and some depth and I still think they are strong contenders.

Tough call. Always been a huge Draymond fan but he isn’t the same player as he used to be. And as 28 he plays as hard as anyone in the league and his body is starting to wear down. His relentless motor isn’t quite there and it’s not going to get better soon. These are the things Dray relies on. I predict he will have an early and sharp demise. He will still be a role player type guy for the ball handling he brings and ten decent defense(this is in a few years). He won’t be worth the huge money he will attempt to get. Dray just signed with Clutch sports a few days ago. Rich Paul is going to make sure Dray gets PAID. As much as I hate it, it’s the intelligent move to get out now as Golden State.

Klay can stay. His game will age much better than Draymond’s. As a poster said above though, he is more replaceable than you would think.

Cousins I would be interested in a short term contract but he’s going to want a lot of years and it’s too big of a risk to take.

Keep Curry and Klay and fill out the rest with good depth on smart contracts. Keep money flexible while building an attractive destination for Giannis.

Curry Klay Giannis and find some athletic swingmen that can shoot/switch on defense to fill in the rest

Cousins is gone unless he looks so bad no one will give him a big contract.

If KD leaves, front office will probably give the core a year to see how everything is without KD.

They could fill out their bench with some shooting and defense, I could see them signing someone like Jeff Green if he's willing to take a vet min. Trevor Ariza might want to win a title again, although that's probably not gonna happen.

Blow it up and rebuild Ainge style. Curry's injury history is too much of a risk as he gets older.

That team is not winning the chip unless Curry averages 45PPG during the playoffs. Defense is far too poor. Kuz and Boogie in particular are terrible, be it lazy or IQ

Boogie is gone either way. Cap wise they can only offer him 5.6m or something along those lines I heard. He will get that from all 29 clubs no matter how bad he is.

I lean on 60:40 with KD leaving next summer, likely to Clippers/NY as the two most likely destinations. I agree with WarriorFan that if KD leaves next summer, they will likely be super motivated to prove their worth.

Ariza on the vet minimum would be glorious
