Basketball commentary simply does not work without a proper PBP guy. Or any other sport for that matter. It's not even a matter of which players are calling the game. You could get the absolute best out there and it would still be boring. You first need a proper PBP guy capturing the excitement/tone of the game and the rest to simply interject with some analysis and be quiet.

Only Shaq's bad. The rest are good in their roles. The problem is none of them can actually carry a cast. You need someone professional to anchor them.
