He pretty much transferred and infused Tatum with his total moveset. Its pretty much like Kobe has been resurrected as Jayson Tatum. So now we get to see Kobe for another 20 years. Right now i have him @ #6 all time but with Tatum playing the way he's been playing, it pretty much shows that Kobe was just a product of his era.

If anything it moves him up the all time list. How he was able to carry complete scrubs to championships with his incredibly advanced style that can't even be emulated anymore due to its difficult nature is absolutely amazing

It doesn't affect my ranking of Kobe because I already had an idea of what the results would be after Tatum trained with him over the summer

Yes, and then Giannis playing at an MVP level moves him back up.

They play nothing alike. That would be like Curry training with Isiah Thomas and Zeek claiming the boy as his heir.

nice try tho

Metta World Peace (DPOY candidate)
Pau Gasol (ALL STAR/Borderline superstar)
Phil Jackson (GOAT Coach)

All saved Kobe's legacy. He could've ended up being a top 25 player if it wasn't for them.

actually it makes kobe look even better. if it was easy doing what kobe did everyone would take off balance highly contested long jumpers

the more people who try it and fail the better kobe looks

artest hadn't made an all defensive first team since 2005-06 so how was he in the DPOTY race in 2010

:lol

gasol was never a borderline superstar. what superstar big man averages 17/9 for their career and lead their squads to a 0-16 playoff record as the top dog on his team. he was never voted into the allstar game. he made 1 reserve allstar spot before joining kobe after 7 seasons

:lol

and phil jackson's offense had little bearing on what kobe did individually. it was made for the other guys. kobe scored freelancing/isolating

dumbass

What was Kobe's point per shot

Tatum simply isn't good enough to play like Kobe, you'd have to be a top 5ish player all-time to succeed playing Kobe ball (really MJ ball if Jordan was a little more on-ball) and, well, that's what Kobe was.

Meanwhile Giannis looking like the next transcendent talent with a solid midrange jumper, decent post game, and soon to be 3 ball, no coincidence he entered the league right after Kobe's injury. Passing of the torch from one alpha to another, I hope him and Kobe continue training during the off-season to really activate his GOAT potential

Kobe actually fed Tatum the wrong information and internally destroyed his shooting mechanics through long workouts with the Bean. Why would Kobe help a young Boston star? LA runs deep in his veins he would never help the enemy. Tatum is a fool for working out with Kobe. He should have called Paul Pierce
