The Hawks have alot of issues, but they are fixable.
The problem is not due to Trae and Bogi it's deeper than that. The defensive rotations and since of urgency are non-existent, they miss that Draymond Green type player to anchor the defensive end. Capella was that guy last year but this year he has really struggled to rim protect and defend big centers like Nurkic, Vucevic Embid etc
They have too many players who don't look hungry and look content collecting a paycheck.
Players like Delon Wright, TLC , Gallo and Lou Willams have offered very little on both sides of the floor and that's the main problem.
The hawks defense looked much better in their last game against the Cavs with Trae, Capella and a bunch a G Leaguers because they hustled and made an effort to play defense.
Several players came back last night and they were worse than the G Leaguers and quickly resorted to not playing team defense.
The Hawks were up by 5 points at the end of the 3rd quarter, Trae goes to the bench to start the 4th quarter and by the time Trae comes back in the game with about 8 minutes left the Hawks were down by 5 points. It is also a coaching issue, when Gallo is not hitting shots he has no business being in the game because his bad defense combined with weak perimiter defenders doesn't work and Nate should have already figured this out.

Been way better the last month with Hunter returning and Okungwu getting more minutes. Still not great but if the offense is clicking we absolutely COULD beat anyone. Will it happen? Yeah, Raptors executed a smart defensive game plan, Trae had 13 assists but for the most part they contained him and forced others to beat them.
Siakam was playing out of his mind in the 1st half which allowed you guys to open up a nice lead and the Hawks could never close the gap. Toronto shot the lights out I was impressed how Anuoboby, Achiwa and VanVleet all hit big shots to stifle the comeback. It was sloppy game with both teams coming of a back to back, but you guys played good defense and shot well, the Hawks were a step slow closing out shooters.

Yes, we got hot there and made the game close down the stretch, but the offense was inconsistent all night and we turned the ball over in critical times down the stretch. Bogi is very streaky and will hit 3 3s and then try to pass like Trae and turnover the ball in a critical time of the game. Hunter played well but down the stretch he tried to take his man one on one, and the defender just took the ball away from him.
When you trap and get the ball out of Trae's hands, you take away his excellent decision making and coolness under pressure since Atlanta doesn't have a solid 2nd facilitator.
I think Toronto was smart for forcing someone else to be the facilitator down the stretch.

Nah, not worried about Trae. He does more for his team than probably in other player in the playoffs, not surprising he struggled less than 48 hours after a hard fought play in game.
My concern with the Hawks, is the lack of physicality by his teammates. They can't allow their star to get beat up and abused and not respond with physical play. Trae looks like the toughest Hawk and that's a problem when he is only 6 feet 170lbs.
