34 Year old Jordan would take these Lakers to the playoffs and beyond. Better player, better leader, better team developer. You saw what he did with Pippen. He would turn Ingram into even more of a Super Pippen than he already is.

How is this even a question?

Absolutely. I don't even think Simon can argue this, which is why he goes to his default "B-But what about 16th season MJ?!?" rhetoric.

It is a pretty obvious answer. Not really discussion worthy. Mods feel free to close at any time.

MJ'd probably shit himself. Literally. He wouldn't know what to do without David Stern pulling the strings. His team would go 10-72

34 Years old with Luke Walton as the Coach? Lonzo Ball as the starting PG? Ingram as Pippen? :oldlol: :lol

Comedy. Who the *** you think MJ is? He was human too just like the rest of us. He couldn't win without Pippen/Phil basically. The Larry Bird vs Jordan confirms it.

Stop it! The answer is

With two Scottie Pippen level scorers, and he would significantly improve the defense as well as leadership? Easily.

Of course, 34 MJ was shooting gamewinner in the Finals.

MJ played defence... and he played it damn well.

LeBron is a glorified bum.

MJ with 56k minutes on his legs would not lead this team to the playoffs mostly cuz the team was stupid enough to get rid of their two best bench scorers.. Injuries are part of he game so that really doesnt matter imo..

MJ at 34 with about 35 k minutes on his legs would DEF do better than current Lebron ..

Defensively, these Lakers would look completely different, because MJ was a kawhi-level defender - 5th in DPOY voting in both 97 and 98'.. that's night-and-day different from LeMatador

Offensively, Luke would love coaching him and the team could play a better brand of ball... Furthermore, he carried a bigger scoring burden than Lebron, while Ingram/Kuzma score better than Pippen/Kukoc.. the Lakers would challenge the Warriors for the top offense

Offensively, Luke would love coaching him and the team could play a better brand of ball.. And MJ always improved an offense at all points in his career.. in this case, he carried a bigger scoring burden than Lebron, while Ingram/Kuzma score better than Pippen/Kukoc.. the Lakers would challenge the Warriors for the top offense

What did Scottie score in 96-97?

Wait, nevermind. This is the dumbest question of the day from ISH.
34 year old Mike was getting his 5th ring, 9th scoring title, all-team NBA and defense, Finals MVP, etc. and shitting on everyone.

Imagine having all the time in the world to do nothing but provide evidence that MJ is the GOAT on ISH, and STILL manage to fukc it up. That's basically his existence :oldlol:

At 34 yes

Age is what matters.. i.e. a 40 year old will jump lower and be slower than his 30-year old self regardless of games played

He is worse than the Kobe stans.. The Kobe stans are just dumb and dont know anything.. This guy is worse cuz he actually goes to bat for MJ but comes out looking like a fool in the process...... MJ is da GOAT.. No need to bullshit about his teammates..

The real problem with the Current Lakers is Walton and Rondo..

We're talking about a player that would rather die with the flu due to his obsessiveness to win, vs a player with this body language.

And again, not a real knock on Lebron, but Jordan's utter focus and motor due to this desire to win is out of this world abnormal.

No plays off, no trying to conserve energy on defense. No visible quitting due to a clogged unfocused fearful mind. An abnormal human.

They would have the best record in the NBA and would be favorites for the title.

I agree with your abnormal human comment but Jordan was making the playoffs with 30 wins .. MJ def up there with Kareem in GOAT discussions

MJ was leading the a lesser talented 01-02 wizards to a +.500 record and a plausible playoff berth while putting up very respectable stats. Pretty sure a 34 year old MJ would be doing fine with this sqaud

the Bulls were 27-11 in the games Pippen missed that season FWIW

the Bulls were honestly not a strong team in 98 but MJ completely carried them

and he was still a top tier perimeter defender

they easily make the playoffs with him. MJ also plays every single game too

And that was after a rough start to the year. His next best player was depending on who you ask that year before Pippen came back ... an inconsistent Toni Kukoc or Jason Caffey. Let that sink in.

In 1998? No. He was MIA a lot and was becoming an increasingly worse distraction without the production to off set it.

Pippen was gone for half the season and MJ was 35 with a ****ed up wrist. Rodman was past his prime and got benched and was causing distractions.

No chance. Not in this conference. In the east he could.
