Bron has proved this year that he benefitted EXPONENTIALLY from being out east all those years. He didnt have the luxury of beating up on the hornets, bulls, magic, wiz, heat, hawks, nets this year.

Well, here's the numbers:

Lakers are 24-21 vs. the West after last night.
So that means 6-12 vs. the East.

So they've played 45 games vs. the west and 18 vs. the east.
They have LOST MORE against the west (21 games) but lose at a higher clip (%) to the east.
Plenty of LOSSES to go around; hard to track them all.

9 eastern games remain out of 19. 10 left vs. west. Applying the above %, roughly the Lakers will end the season:
39-40 wins / 42-43 losses.

Vs West - +2.6 58.9%TS
Vs East - +5.3 60.3%TS

And let's also look at the fact that he's sat out against the better WC teams (Warriors 2x, Rockets, Clippers, Minnesota 2x, OKC 2x, Sacramento 2x, Utah).

A much higher +/- and an increase in efficiency is not enough? And that's with all the games Lebron's sat out against TOP WC teams.

Lakers beat the Warriors and outscored them in the 4th without him, don't even count that game & the Clippers one was clearly rigged in our favor and we almost blew that one too when he came back in the 4th.

Damn near blew the 15pt safety net Lebron gave us too, only for Rondo to bail out the young core

bounced right back from that game with 6-12 the next 18 games :(

Of course.

Been saying it for years how unfair the double advantage has been for 2 decades now.

Not only is the regulars season easier because the type of teams Lebron has been on (contending teams) for much of his prime...were never in danger of missing the playoffs so he and his team could coast playing scrub teams more often as well...

And then, in the playoffs, you have a much easier path to the finals.

This is all obvious and just a fact. Debating these points is silly and would only be one by someone displaying quite a bit of bias.

However, that doesn't change how good Lebron actually is at basketball. Lebron playing in the West for his career and only making 2 or 3 finals or whatever it would have been with similar help...wouldn't change how good he actually was.

All this speaks to is that circumstances have to be heavily factored in for rankings and that any system that gives such a huge benefit to geographic location of teams is horribly flawed.

It is almost 2020...at least seed the damn playoff teams 1-16.

Lebron career out West would've put him on a West team

Would've had far more career success than small market 17 win Cleveland

Good god imagine even a POR team with BRoy, LMA and Lebron. Whew

That's not the point you stupid f*uck.

When you're playing in the west you always have to be on. There's less room/margin for error.

Taking L's against the far weaker East isn't gunna cut it. You have to be consistently on. None of this sub 500 bullshit.

Dark times for you my girl.

Bro these morons literally only understand numbers. They don't understand anything outside of stats and will never fathom the reality variable. No point wasting your energy on kids who were 10 years old when Kobe was carrying Pau 0-16 Gasol to chips
