When they traded Tobias I thought they would fall in the standings but that hasn't and most likely won't happen.
This team won't give up a 4 game lead with 18 games to go.

Only chance is if Lakers beat Clippers twice. Lakers would also need a couple 3-game win streaks to get closer.

They're not even in 8th anymore.
Spurs are.
The Clips are 7 games above 500

And you know the Spurs aren't missing the playoffs so long as Pop's there.

Yeah Spurs are 3-7 in the last 10 , but will still make the playoffs against the Nuggets hopefully . That would be an exciting series.

Spurs have tiebreaker over Lakers so Clippers would still be better bet.
Today is must-win game for Lakers against Clippers. Nuggets-Spurs could also be big.
If you are a Lakers fan, you have to root against every single Clippers & Spurs games henceforth. And pray Lakers can put together a couple 3-game streaks in March with zero 3-game losing streaks. This is it - our final month and our last chance.

For the race for 7th/8th:
Clippers are currently 7th, with the 17th toughest schedule left with 11 home games and 6 road games.
Spurs are currently 8th seed, .5 behind the Clippers, with the 21st toughest schedule left with 10 home games and 8 road games.
Kings are currently 9th seed, 3 behind the Spurs/3.5 behind the Clippers, with the 28th toughest schedule and 9 home games and 11 road games.
Lakers are 10th seed, 4.5 behind the Spurs and 5 behind the Clippers, with the 7th toughest schedule and 10 home games and 9 road games.
If anything, Kings are going to make a major push to try to get the Clippers spot, not the Lakers. Even if the Lakers win both left against the Clippers, it'll cut the deficit to 3 and they'll still be two back in the loss column, needing major help (which, I'm certain, Silver will give them)

I've said it before and I'm saying it now: the Clippers are a month or three away from running away with the league. Top notch ownership and FO, good coaching (Doc deserves a few mentions for COTY), good roster with a ton of great contracts. Jerry West will fleece the NBA.
