Bill Russell should come back for a 14th & 15th season if we are going to totally ignore Age.

Jordan was only 2-3 season from winning FMVP averaging 34ppg

Why is age an excuse?

so OP is basically saying 16th year lebron is on the same level as 40 year old MJ

meanwhile 16th and 17th year kobe was 1st team all nba

and don't give me this total minutes argument. lebrons played zero defense and slacked off in the east his whole career

15th year Jordan vs 16th year LeBron.

And Kobe was a bench warmer his first 2 seasons

His 17th season should be compared to LeBrons 15th season

Jordan was 40 by then and had already been MVP and 3-peat champ at 34, not lottery loser like lebron

Jordan also had 3 more rings than lebron, 1 more MVP, 3 more FMVP, 1 more DPOY, 4 more 1st team all-defense, 9 more scoring titles, higher PER, ws/48, plus-minus, usage, and efficiency per possession (ortg), and the only player to average 30/5/5 for career

So no one cared what he did as a Wizard and were actually impressed that he improved them 18 wins, which is a lot more than lebron this year

Exactly.

Move on OP...LeBron and Jordan should never even be in the same sentence....they're not even close.

like i said... coasting during the regular season in the east and skipping the first 3 rounds of the last 8 playoffs saved lebrons legs

not to mention slacking off on defense since 2013-14

kobe had more wear and tear. the proof is in the surgeries

No, lebron is held to a different standard because he is the greatest player of all time.

Nobody in the history of sports is held to "The LeBron Standard" other than Tom Brady....who is the goat of his sport

hmmm " The LeBron Standard" i might trademark that

or should we go with "The LeGolden Standard"?

LeGolden One

LeBrons injury was as severe as Kobe's Achilles

And Kobe was finished after that

Lebron only has 4 MVP in 16 years

That's below MJ, Kareem, and Magic

And only 7 total MVP including fmvp - that's 4 less than mj's record of 11

And only 5 seasons of dual all-nba and all-defense 1st team selections, so 4 less than mj's record of 9

Every premium measure shows lebron at a lower level from MJ's goat standard.. haven't even mentioned a ring count
