Lebron isn't the 2nd best player on his team like Mitchell is

You'd take the Lakers core over Utah?

Gobert is a farking animal. Perfect big for today's game.

Utah is a far better team and they've been playing together now for 2 years.

Not excusing Lebron but Utah is just flat out better. The only reason you know about the Lakers roster is because of ESPN and their relentless discussion about them. The Lakers are like the Nets with more media coverage.

You talk a lot for someone whos team is trash tier and theyre supposed to be "contending now". Go get swept by AD and Rondo while being a higher seed :lol :lol

Does LeBron have the DPOY protecting the paint for him?

He has got 2 time champion protecting the paint for him. He also got 2 future all stars on the perimeter for him as well in ingrham and kuzma

Gobert is the reason "Mitchell can take his team to the playoffs", without him, the Jazz are in the lottery.

And Lakers being a better team is highly debatable, the Lakers are a mishmash of old Riffraff from around the league, an LBJ heading into the end of his career, and young guys who haven't figured out how to win yet. Doesn't sound like a great team to me.

Does the DPOY have the best player in the NBA?

Think it is going to be interesting how Utah can wrap up the rest of the season.
17 of their final 18 games are against teams with .500 or less record. Only 2.5 games outside of the 3 seed. In which they are playing Phoenix (3x)

Thunder have the toughest remaining schedule they could drop quite a bit, Portland/Houston have a mediocre remaining schedule.

Doesn't really matter. It's more about who they face. They don't the Thunder or Houston. Want Portland and they aren't a great match up for them

Gobert is the best of the help but the next best three would be Ingram, kuzma, and Lonzo... The biggest difference is Utah has a superb culture and plays with great chemistry

We already disagree on everything. No need to repeat the same things over and over again.

Utah has struggled with the Thunder all season, just like they did last season, but we all know what happened in the playoffs.

Furthermore, Jazz need not fear Houston, as this is NOT the Houston team from last year. They have split the season series, and Houston does not have the defensive posture they had the previous season.

The fact is 2-8 ANYONE can beat anyone.

Last year was a different OKC team. No Melo to pick on this year

We've yet to see Houston at their best and the last game they destroyed Utah without Paul and Capela. Don't see them beating them with the same crappy offense that couldn't beat them last year

javale mcgee per 36 minutes = 19ppg, 11rpg, 3bpg on 62% fg's
rudy gobert per 36 minutes = 17ppg, 14rpg, 2bpg on 64% fg's

its actually pretty close between the 2. only difference is opportunity

It's close unless you look deeper and than there is no comparison. The Jazz scored at will against McGee. Walton finally benched him in favor of Zubac. No one does that on Gobert.

Seems like a typo...It's not...Crazy

Raptors
without Kawhi = 62.7 win pace
with Kawhi = 58.8 win pace
-3.9 wins with Kawhi

Celtics
without Kyrie = 67.09 win pace
with Kyrie = 45.73 win pace
-21.36 wins with Kyrie

Lakers
without LeBron = 27.3 win pace
with LeBron = 43.73 win pace
+16.43 with LeBron

Imagine still being the most impactful player in the league in your 16th year

small sample size never shows the real picture. Anyways donovan mitchell has more impact on his team than lebron james.

He said "the" DPOY, not a old version of a guy who won it 7 years ago.

Gobert would be the perfect big a decade ago. He's still really good now but perfect?  perfect big for today's game would be David Robinson. Or Dave debuschere
