32 head-to-head possessions is a good sample size. Steph put the clamps on him.

Lebron was deferring. Whenever he saw Curry was switched on him, he made the right basketball play and gave it up.

The better question is why did bron attack such an obvious mismatch only 5/32 times, including a potential GW in game 1.

because those 27/32 other times probably include when the team is swinging the ball from side to side...

lebron's offense was flowing in the finals last year the problems were on the other end.

The article sums it up pretty well.

[I]"With Curry on him, James takes a step back and thinks about what advantage he can create. But James is at his greatest when he just attacks, unleashing his physical force on the person in front of him and seeing what happens next. James is a tsunami of a basketball player. When guarded by Curry in this series, each possession has become a chess match, a clinical search for the greatest weakness to exploit. But when you

You're acting like Curry was on an island with Lebron. Dude would get bullied with no regard for human life. Just like what happened in the 16 Finals. And when Curry would try to score on him, he would get blocked and cry to his wife and throw mouthguards. Let's not act like a whole army wasn't behind Curry ready to double and triple and quadruple Lebron when Lebron would back him down :oldlol:

Ummm, just what do they constitute as being scored on?

Here is LeBron scoring 2 baskets while isolated against Curry in Game 1 itself:

Right away OP's numbers lose all credibility.

Cant believe anything these days. I now vividly remember him scoring on Curry with ease 2-3 possessions straight late game 1.

I'm assuming nba.com constitutes "getting scored on" only if the offensive player scores while the shot is directly contested by the defensive player. Which is totally retarded. What if the offensive player is constantly blowing past his primary defender and scoring while being contested by the help defense? According to their numbers, the guy getting blown by is doing just fine

Marcus Smart of ISH. Dude tries to post like some kind of tough guy but he flops every chance he gets like the pathetic weakling he is. The problem is, he is actually like this. It's not some kind of schtick he has on ISH. I've seen him post on ST, and he is exactly the same there.

I'm a bron fan but I can't lie, I noticed this in real time last year. I remember cursing at the tv about this. There were many times where Bron was iso'd on Steph and he either didn't look to score or tried and wasn't successful.
