so when people say lebrons passing makes him more valuable than a kobe/jordan is utterly absurd


kobe/jordan helped their teams playing DEFENSE

kobe/jordan helped their teams playing the TRIANGLE


lebron hurts his team NOT playing defense because he has to run ALL of the offense

and i don't even think his passing helps more than a real offensive system would


this is what separates these guys... kobe/jordan might have been looked at as hogs/selfish. but they never hurt their teams being that way. because even when they're not passing ... THE BALLS STILL MOVING

That's what I've been saying all along - ball movement gets role players better shots than one player dominating the ball in the halfcourt

Lebron's ball-dominance will never be an adequate substitute for ball movement, so his assists are meaningless, and actually a detriment because they come at the expense of team assist, ball movement, and a brand that competes well on the championship level

That's why triple-double stats are antiquated and the new stats that matter are offensive and defensive efficiency and plus-minus
