What is the most inappropriate joke in the OTC section of the messageboard InsideHoops? :D

Time for him to order 6 months worth of cocaine and hookers.

Sad news.. Trebek has always been a class act and well respected.

He has been a host of Jeopardy since 1984 (35yrs). I haven't watched in last 6-7yrs, but I used to watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune almost daily. So sad to hear this.. :(

i dont want jeopardy to die even though it wont be the same without him. Carey's done a supposedly decent job on the price is right and bob barker was that show so it's possible to find a decent replacement

I know a lot of people are hopeful but people don't really survive stage 4. It's over. He is an icon. I don't know what Jeopardy is going to do because he can't be replaced. When a show loses a host it's never the same.

Trebek wasn't that well known until he appeared in the movie White Men Can't Jump.

He rose to stardom after that.

Sucks that he was diagnosed with this.

Praying he survives. The way he delivered that message today was downright inspiring. To be full of energy, positivity, and determination to beat something that pretty much cannot be beat. But I pray he is part of the small minority of people that make it.

Very sad to hear. I wish him and his family the best. This kind of cancer is extremely difficult to beat, especially at this stage of progression. I'm heartened by the outpouring of love and support for him, and I hope his family and friends rally around him as he fights. He's truly an American icon... a mainstay... 35 years on our televisions, nightly. God bless him.

people live and then they die.

The medical industry prolongs life , and if it is natural , it is natural for the medical industries pocket book.

My mum just passed away at 86 , but she was ill for like 50 years...
Who kept her alive ?? god / THE MEDICAL INDUSTRY.

We are like animals , we fight for our last breath , and Alex's comments relay the same ditto feels.... I will fight .

A lot of greats died this year. If I was on the verge of death in 2020, I'd want to leave this planet asap.

He's definitely in a better place.

RIP Alex Trebek.. :(

He was a legend and fought hard for year and half against pancreatic cancer that is almost always terminal. Hats off to him for how hard he fought while always being optimistic everytime he came on. He gave the rest of us hope and inspired us by his optimism :applause:

RIP

Been watching Jeopardy regularly for at least a decade now. Still will, going through reruns on HULU.

Wonder who will take over... definitely won't be the same

Cool that they'll air the final 35 episodes of him hosting

I didn't know they prepared shows months in advance, I figured it was only a few days.

Wonder if he'll show signs of physically deteriorating. The way the exec producers says it I have a feeling it will.

Who would you like to be Trebek's replacement?

There are names floating around already like Ken Jennings and LeVar Burton.

They've already been putting Ken Jennings out there for a couple months now. Feels like maybe once a week, Ken pops in and reads an entire category. He's a bit less smooth than Alex is at the reading but he'll get there with practice and time.
