Wilt gets bagged on for being soft/not winning as much but...

The 67 Sixers and 69 Lakers are both STILL arguably top 5 teams in NBA history, and had two of the top 3 team records in history until Jordan's 96 and 97 Bulls teams.

Now to the crux of the matter....from 1957 to 1969 the Celtics won EVERY title except for two

They won 11 titles in 13 seasons

That's like a team winning every title except for two from 2004 to now.

Oh...and the Celtics won 8 in a row at one point. They won the title 8 years in a row

We joke about LeBron promising that with the Heat.

In that 13 year span the Celtics lost to Pettit's Hawks in 1958 and Wilts Sixers in 1967.

Russell wasn't completely healthy in the 58 series and it was only the 2nd year of the Celtics run so...it's not THAT unbelievable.

But 67......the Celtics had won the title 8 years in a row and the Sixers crushed them in 5 games.

Yet no one these days really talks about it.

It has to be one of the greatest accomplishments in SPORTS history, let alone NBA history.

Yet NO ONE talks about it.
