What a shitty ass era. 76ers are supposed to be the best team in the East yet with the game on the line they give a man who already scored 37 a wide open lane for a layup....

We have to fire Brett Brown...

they had an inbound with .5 on the clock, missed an alley hoop,
game was over. then they literally got a do over because the clock manager messed up the time

Anyway I agree that they aren't contenders because there's absolutely no chance they'll beat us. We'll kick their ass the same way we did last year

Since the term "contender" usually means a favorite for the title, this is correct. The Sixers are still a couple years away from contending for the championship. At best, the Sixers are playoff contenders only.
Embiid is good, but he must solve his stamina issues and learn how to overcome stout and crafty interior defenders in the playoffs.
Ben Simmons can still be game-planned in the half-court, and the playoffs is where every game slows down to a crawl. That neutralizes his advantage in the open court.
Jimmy Butler and Harris will provide outside shooting to bust halfcourt defenses, but they cannot be counted on to carry the team against playoff teams.
A few more years of seasoning, and a better balance from top to bottom, and perhaps a better coach will improve their odds.
