Jordan missed out on probably 4-5 seasons of scoring in his prime.

Could have played all 10 years in the 90s.

He probably hits 40k in points if he kept playing.

Lebrontards are in full meltdown mode.

malone = 32,315 points on 22,722 shots
Lebron = 32,311 points on 23,297 shots
Jordan = 32,292 points on 24,537 shots

and malone never shot 3's

Actually it is SIX years...

MJ played college (4 years) Lebron = 0

MJ played baseball min=2 years Lebron = 0

I don't like comparison records cause guys like Kobe and James never were in college.
Same for rings , if these guys played college some more wear would be on their legs and that could mean less chips.

MJ has the real record (PPG) and Kareem isn't anywhere near, or lebron..

Lebron remains bunched together with all the great scorers at 26-27 ppg, while MJ stands alone a full 3 points clear of everyone at 30 ppg.. in his own class..

and he scored 5 points more in the playoffs with only 1% less TS.. Any lebron fan would prefer 5 points over 1%

Ultimately, MJ averaged 3-5 more ppg on better offensive efficiency (ortg or PER), and nearly equal TS.. So why should we care if lebron passes MJ any more than when Reggie passed Bird?

No he couldn't have.

He admittedly didn't have the mental toughness to do so. He was mentally exhausted after just 3 consecutive Finals appearances and had to quit the league after both times. No way he could handle 8 in a row with 100x more pressure added like James has had to do.

3 ppg is the difference between a Giannis/Kawhi-level scorer and Booker/Lavine

5 ppg difference is down to good role players like Klay.. basically a completely lower level

These are the scoring edges that MJ had over lebron, and everyone in the history of the NBA.

Unfortunately, the media/lebron stans aren't perceiving it correctly

Took Lebron 100+ more games to pass MJ's scoring total :kobe:

what's with this shots bs? James took way more threes while Jordan barely shot them at all.

Jordan's career PPG was 31.5 after his last year in Chicago at 35. Lebron's highest scoring season was 31.4 ppg :kobe:

I'm not........ those are the facts, Chico

''Mentally, I'm exhausted,'' Jordan said at a news conference on the United Center floor. ''I know, from a career standpoint, I've accomplished everything I could as an individual. Right now, I just don't have the mental challenges that I've had in the past to proceed as a basketball player.

''This is perfect time for me to walk away from the game. And I'm at peace with that.''

My posts having nothing to do with career scoring. Dude I quoted said MJ could have played all 10yrs in the 90's. I said he couldn't due to MJ's self admittance that he burned out easily. Said himself he was mentally exhausted and that was even after his 2yr hiatus from the league to rest up mentally and physically.

There was nothing else to compete for (he'd already lapped the field twice)

he always said that's what caused him to retire.. no more challenges to keep him mentally engaged

He even begged Phil to come up with a new challenge for him.. but nothing.. so he retired.. the media is simply lying when they say he took a "break", as if he couldn't have played on like pippen and horace did.. :rolleyes:

I know it. I just wanted to make an observation.

I said he couldn't due to MJ's self admittance that he burned out easily. .

No one said he burned out easily. MJ went hard unlike LeBron who has only had one season where he played all 82 games. MJ didn't take half the season off every year and he didn't half-ass games just to "activate" when he felt like it. MJ had one mode: "I kill everybody all the time." (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LINW7EcDgqc)

Said himself he was mentally exhausted and that was even after his 2yr hiatus from the league to rest up mentally and physically.

He retired because his father was murdered. He had already won 3 straight titles while utterly lapping the field of the highest level NBA players. He retired because he needed a bigger challenge than dominating the best NBA players and winning year after year after year. The guys he considered on his level (Magic and Bird) had already retired. He obviously didn't care about topping some career scoring list. That never came up. He wasn't chasing some ghost. He retired on top of the game.

Then came back to win 3 more titles just because he could.

judging by bronny's first season in a real conference without being able to handpick his teammates, i'd say 1-9 would've been a massive improvement over what lestans are getting now.
