Tbh, Durant hasn't moved up or down on my all time list since moving to Golden State. The two, possibly three, cheapest rings in the history of sports. However, he was already ranked ahead of Kobe after his years in OKC.

In order for KD to get ahead of Kobe for me, he has to prove that he's fixed the weaknesses in his game that create the gap between him the Kobe. Namely the leadership, decision making and playmaking. Winning rings on the Warriors doesn't prove that.

No. Durant running for the Warriors back in 2016 didn't suddenly make him a better basketball player. He's more or less the same player but in an exponentially better situation for the extent of his talents to be on display without competing with a teammate for the ball in a 'my turn, your turn' iso-centric offense with Westbrook.The thing is you could have replaced him with a number of top tier talents and they'd still win. You can't tell me the Warriors don't win if Paul George or Kawhi off the top of my head were playing in KD's place. They won 73 games and choked away the finals in 7 with Harrison Barnes at the 3 spot FFS.

But if he wins two more, hes likely in top 5 rather than top 10. Especially if the second one is with the Knicks.
