View Full Version : LBJ made East look weak, Kobe made West look tough...

Did LeBron just make the East look weak and Kobe just make the West look strong?

Some people want you to think it was the Wild Wild West with Carmelo Anthony making a Conference Finals but when he came over to the PowerHouse East I don't even think he got out of the first round :confusedshrug:

Either that or he didnt even make the playoffs a lot of years in the PowerHouse East

Has LeBrons dominance messed up our thoughts on the powerhouse east?

If Kobe made the West look strong and still came out with rings and at least playoff appearances...

LeBron makes it look impossible.

hence kobe beating 24 teams with 50+ wins and lebron bearing less than half as many out east to make MORE FINALS

From 1999, a Western team has won it all 14 times. The real NBA Finals have been the WCF for years.

LeBron is making the West look tougher than Kobe ever did...behind the Wolves/Kings/Spurs/Clippers, all of which have less talent on the roster and missing the playoffs by a good margin.

Garnett/Allen/Pierce were 35/36/33 when lebron beat them

And I don't think any of the other guys you mentioned had even one HOF teammate, while lebron had 3

If you took away Lebron's 3 HOF teammates and gave them to rose, george or butler, those guys beat lebron easily... Lebron stacked the deck, yet everyone gives him props.. it's ridiculous.. he couldn't make the Finals with regular casts, so he stacked the deck.. it's sad, and he sucks compared to guys like MJ, Bird, Kobe, and many more

Lebron fans are shameless about how much help he had and his team-hopping/stacking the deck

he's 1-3 against dirk & timmy in the finals, narrowly avoided being 0-4 against them by a lejesus miracle shot.

And Paul George

nowhere near prime.

and Derrick Rose

flash in the pan.

and Jimmy Butler

third option.

and Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett...

way past prime.

they chased him out of cleveland and set off the collusion era.

derozan is legit lebest player legoat had to get through to reach the finals.

At least MJ always made the 8 seed or better as an elite athlete

Lebron is still elite athletically, but will miss his 3rd playoffs... And not as a 9 seed this time, but as a horrific 11 seed, and about 10 games out of the 8 seed.. :oldlol: :oldlol: :oldlol:

Furthermore - in the last 2 Finals, Lebron is 1-9 with 2 seeds, while MJ was 1-9 with 8 seeds........... and MJ's 8 seeds played the goat celtics closer than Lebron's 2 seeds played the warriors (record loss)

There's no case for lebron.. infact, his resume is shit due to stacking the deck in a conference that was already super-weak, and underachieving with loaded teams

Can't compare the 2 players.

Kobe, "as the franchise player", has only beaten 11 teams with 50+ wins.

No sense in comparing Kobe to other players who were actual franchise players their entire postseason career........ when he wasn't even the franchise player and leader of the team himself. It's like saying Scottie Pippen beat X amount of 50+win teams and making no mention of Jordan.

Imagine winning five rings and only being the leader twice.

3/3 =100% leadership

2/5 = 40% leadership

The only non 50+ win team that Kobe faced from 08-10 was the 48 win Jazz in 2009.
That's 11 out of 12 possible 50+ win teams in 3 years, almost half LeBron's CAREER TOTAL this isn't even close.

Wow, that's damning

there's SO much proof that lebron isn't on Kobe's level

All lebron has is crap like VORP, which anyone can boost by simply losing more, as lebron did..

Stats can't be compared when one guy is winning a lot more, especially with no advantage in cast

1st LePushed stans said he is a better scorer than MJ.
Then, they said he got more competition in the historically weak Least than the Wild Wild West.

Best teams/players Bran beat to reach 8 consecutive finals = past their prime KG, Pierce, Rondo, Allen; pre-prime PG13; DRose; Carmelo???

They are not even trolling, they are shook AF

By your logic:

Bran in the East? 8 consecutive finals
Bran in the West? Lottery

DeRozan in the East? 1 seed
DeRozan in the West + Pop? 8 seed

PG13 with no superstar in the East? 2 seed
PG13 with an MVP in the West? battling for 4-5 seed

sorry but to say kobes series vs teams like sanantonio/portland/sacramento don't count because he had shaq is utterly ludicrous. kobe led them in scoring by a large margin for a lot of those series and was their top playmaker and on ball defender

i'll give you the sixers and nets series i guess ... kobe saved the indiana series though

the one vs the sonics doesn't count either i guess.

so 21 instead of 24

and if we're giving context to BOTH guys series then lebron has zero ... since he was in the least his entire career and his only finals teams beaten were from ring chasing/colluding/lockouts/bail outs/suspensions

the fact that nash and melo became jokes on message boards in 2019 is directly correlated with them spending their best years in the western conference

thats just how it is out there. they had more than capable rosters that would have been finals contenders out east. but in the west they could never get by the spurs, mavs or lakers
