Not so impressive once you look at pace & TOs

MJ 1991 - 35.8 ppg 6.5 apg 2.0 TOPG on 53/43/89 shooting or ~62%TS. Bulls played at about a 93 pace to Cavs' 100.

Now also take into account that Lebron averaged over twice as many TOs & lost the series in 5 games. Lebron has never averaged 30+ ppg or 60%+TS% in a Finals series that he won. Jordan averaged 30+ ppg 5 times.

And I don't think any of Lebron's Finals are on par with MJ's 1991 - 31 ppg 11 apg 61%TS, leads team in all categories but rebounds against a team that had one of the tallest line-ups in the league. 61%TS for a guard that only shot four threes in the series is unreal. Also, only a 85.8 pace compared to Lebron's 100 against a small ball team.

.
Teammates' assists crater alongside Lebron, so he achieves his assists at the expense of team assists:

Team Assists in Lebron's last 4 Finals losses

GSW 2018 Finals: 28.7
CLE. 2018 Finals: 21.0

GSW 2017 Finals: 29.4
CLE. 2017 Finals: 21.4

GSW 2015 Finals: 23.0
CLE. 2015 Finals: 15.8

SAS 2014 Finals: 25.4
MIA 2014 Finals: 15.0

That's why he's 3/9

Kyrie carried an equal scoring burden and hit the big shot, while MJ carried the scoring load while averaging more assists than 16' lebron... And he hit the big shot... :confusedshrug:

The big shot was over an outstretched 7-footer requiring goat touch - it was one of the most critical (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3_eFEQD5NKA&t=5m41s) shots of his life to avoid going down 2-1 with the next 2 in LA.

MJ's was better for those clear-cut reasons.. meanwhile, lebron's 2nd option significantly outplayed the warriors' best player and league mvp

MJ's 92 and 93 were also better.. and 97 and 98.. just way more clutch and bigger burden, less help

Compare lebron's 2nd option help in the 16 Finals to any of MJ's Finals.. it's not close

And lebron would've won the 16' Finals easier if he delegated responsibility better (rebounding, playmaking) and didn't shit the bed for the first 4 games (24 ppg and 6 TO).

Btw, I know I'm in the minority opinion that MJ's 92/97/98 Finals > lebron's 16', but regardless, MJ's 91 and 93 are definitely better.. better game score.. better stats.. better clutch

Bro...

Scottie Pippen literally averaged 21-9-8 for the entire three peat while playing Elite defense.

Are you serious?

Kyrie's defense was good in that series and his offense was way better than pippen's, who left MJ alone during the critical period of that series:

pippen fouled out at the end of game 3 by committing a dumb foul on divac, which would've lost the game if not for MJ's game-tie'er.. then MJ locked magic down in the overtime (0-3, 2 TO), and carried the offense while pippen watched from the bench

But I know that you didn't have the privilege of watching that series, so I'm more than happy to inform you of what happened

MJ had 41 ppg and 6 apg in the 93' Finals

For some odd reason 2ball likes to ignore rebounds...I wonder why? :confusedshrug:

The thread title said points and assists, so that's MJ.. MJ fam wins your thread

Regarding defensive rebounds - who cares - MJ is a guard, so he gets more steals.. he also gets more offensive rebounds, less turnovers, better ft%, usage and ortg, PER, and Finals clutch shots (4-0)
