how is that a 'shot'? he's just saying this is his first time being in the playoff hunt. he didn't mention any teams or say anything derogatory.

This forum is so desperate in its attacks. I have zero clue what team anyone here roots for. They probably keep it secret out of cowardice. That or you don't actually like basketball and this place is your social life.

Are you that daft, bro?

He played in the LEast.

First season he went West, look what has happened...what we ALWAYS knew would happen if he ever went West.

Its no surprise he usually gets demolished in the Finals once he faces REAL competition.

Cheers
So you think Toronto and Boston wouldn't make the play offs in the West?

MAYBE if lebron focused on being a basketball player like kobe did, instead of his talk show, his movie career, his off court business empire and other shit, he might actually carry this team to playoff.

Lakers signed lebron to be a basketball player like he did in cavs, not fking filming partnership.

There was definitely some locker room issues early with Russell, but the fact is that they essentially gave up on a 20 year old, high ceiling PG (something they need(ed)), was just proof they don't know how to handle potential.
Never thought of the Lakers as a player developing franchise, mostly because they were usually a good team already, but their collapse in the last years of Kobe until now have really shown they don't really know how to develop potential.

I'll admit I didn't think Russell was going to be this good, but he is leading the relatively young Nets to the playoffs. Sure it's in the east, but looking at their roster, he's done a great job being the leader of that group.

The truth is, he needed to get traded to blossom. A smalltown team with no pressure. Let's face it, he has none of that on the Nets.

He obviously wasn't used right in LA but you don't give up on such a high pick so quickly, just so you can pick someone to replace him with another high pick.

Modern NBA is a position-less league. Sure there are big men and guards... but you can put 2 shorter guards out there in some lineups. DLo>>>> Kuzma

He had a great game but let's face it, it is much easier to put up stats and impact in a weaker conference.

He isn't as athletic or fast enough for the PGs out West. Nor did his foot speed on offense alleviate some of that pressure. Plus the locker room stuff and his teammates weren't gonna be able to trust him moving forward. He needed a change of scenery and Ball does have a great impact on the Lakers compared to what people think.

Imdaman did hit it on the head. There isn't pressure in Brooklyn. They traded for him, Okafor, and I feel like another former high lottery pick. Eventually one was gonna turn out.
