That works from a fan perspective. But from a revenue perspective how would the nba recover the lost money?

I don't think you can it's a generational thing. People care more now about social media then they do there own actual lives. Also competitiveness has all but been taken out of the school system and athletics. This generation doesn't grow up as tough and competitive because of it. Every generation comes up a bit softer than the next. My generation was softer than my dad's and his was a bit softer then his Father's. Unfortunately now it's getting to the point where it's getting ridiculously soft and uncompetitive but there's nothing you can do about it really. Its just a different day.

Plus it doesn't seem to have affect ratings any so there isn't any real need for change.
