Wild Wild West
Anyone saying that its the West is just dumb.. Since the Lakers have a much better record against the West this season than against the EAST..
They are terrible vs the EAST..

39 Year Old MJ > 34 Year Old Lebron
MJ at 39 was up for MVP until his injury.. This current Laker team has had injuries to lebron, ingram, lonzo, chandler, lance and Rondo.. Though Rondo injury may have been a good thing. They gave up there best big ZUBAC for lint.. Something they will regret big time.

Lebron/Lakers is/are irrelevant. Resistance is necessary.

And that's with a roster only a fraction as good as last year with the starting lineup missing 100+ games combined and LeBron missing a quarter of the season:eek:

Also, young players gained 1 more year experience, but still same record? They made a huge mistake with signing Lebron. I think that would be much smarter:
Last summer
Not sign Lebron
Keep Randle
Sign Vince Carter and Tony Parker for schooling young players
Next summer(s)
Draft a spot up shooter SG or rim protector C
Sign a star free agent under 30 years old
That would be a contender team for 20's. But now with Lebron's contract and habit down his teammates. Another rebuild in 20's?

If you have a chance at LeBron, you kind of have to go for it. You can't pass on that opportunity even after considering the baggage that comes with it.
The problem was passing up on bringing back at least Lopez.. Made no sense to not bring him back for 1yr cheap deal.. Or even Randle we should have tried to bring back

Lebron was 33 years old and he was dominating the game with his physical abilities, so he had only few years for leading a contender team. If Lakers was a contender it would be a good opportunity as you said but Lakers was a rebuilding team with young starters and a young coach. My opinion is it was a suicide to sign 33 years old Lebron over that roster.
