Did teams just get tired of his poor free throw shooting? He went from being part of a big three in LA to being traded to a garbage Knicks team.

Shut the hell up. Knicks are tanking the right way for once, not half ass. Plus he's improved his FT so much. Hope he continues to tutor the blockness monster :pimp:

You guys got quite the steal in Robinson.

Basically this.

He’s managed to get a bit of undue hype around his career that’s gotten him paid and talked about more than he should have been. He’s not bad obviously, but he was never a star caliber player. “Big 3” is supposed to imply 3 stars. Not sure why exactly it was ever applied to the Clippers.

But, hey good for him :confusedshrug:

He is a low IQ high athleticism player that is no longer an elite athlete.

Current Javale Mcgee>>>

I was never a fan of his game, and he has lost a lot of athleticism and defensive prowess, but I will give him credit for adding to his game.

I think he'd be a great back up C on a good team, but I doubt he is okay with being that at this point in his career. I'd honestly take someone like Robin Lopez over him, yet he couldn't get a start on the Bulls for the majority of the year.

I always believed he was a very good help defender, so I was very surprised when I watched him play in Dallas. He seems like an empty stats guy. He is not bad, he just not as good as his stats.

He played zero defense in Dallas and only cares about statpadding defensive rebounds.

If I recall correctly he wants too much money?

He literally pushes his own teammates out of the way to get an uncontested rebound.

Would you want that kind of player as a teammate?

Speaking of DeAndre Jordan's "pushing," did you notice that he also pushes his teammates, thus helping them block other player's (who shall remain nameless) shots? Here, take a look. What should we call this, a "hockey block?" :lol

In all seriousness, DJ's lost a good amount of athleticism, and that along with brute size and strength, was all his rather limited game was ever based on. But I will say, for a number of years, he was one of the most explosive leapers for a center that the NBA has ever seen. Right up there with Dwight Howard, David Robinson, and Shaq for pure explosive dunks.

Deandre isnt a bad Ft shooter anymore. Im not sure what happened but he shoots over 70% for the year and 79% for the Knicks.

He was so athletic and strong on the defensive end when playing with Clippers. With CP3 and Griffin.
Offensive side, never a great shooter. Best weapon was the alley-opps with CP3. Without that, I would say he would be just a decent-good low post player.

His PNR defense against elite guards/swingmen is among the worst of any starting center in the last decade.

His paint protection, rebounding, and finishing lobs are all elite.

But his outlet passing is slow & tentative, no quarterback skills.
His offense other than finishing lobs and catching high passes is abysmal.
Overvalued for his entire career because his strength and athleticism are ELITE.

The Lakers had an offensive rating of 81.8 in 14 minutes with DeAndre Jordan on the floor last night.

They had an offensive rating of 134.3 in 34 minutes without him.

For the season, they’re ORTG is 97.7 with him on, 110.3 with him off.

everyone who plays a 4/5 PF wouldn't mind him, just not the team that plays the 3/4 PF. unless you got some really long wingspan wings like Tayshaun Prince
