Just dropped 27 points in the 4th quarter. 28 point comeback and outscored the Kings 45-18 in the last quarter.

I get that they were sorting out their cap space, but he and Zu are looking like some of the worst trades in the last few years.

No doubt he's looking good at the moment, but the Lakers did get Kuzma in that trade, and they got rid of Mozgov.

The Zubac trade on the other hand made no sense whatsoever, they just gave him away for nothing.

I'm glad I have him in my ESPN Fantasy League team. He is only 22 years old. The Nets will most likely make it into the Playoffs too.

Successful year for him

No it doesn't. They had to get rid of him because no one was gonna ever trust him because he snitched on a fellow teammate. Magic knew he was good and even said he could be an all star which he is now. It just wasn't gonna work with him in la because of what he did.

Plus magic is trying to win chips. I'll admit so far he's doing a bad job at that but he and any half intelligent person knows you can't win a chip with d'lo as one of your best players.

He's really becoming something. He reminds me a bit of a young Deron Williams. Not the fastest, but both players are smooth, skillful and deceptively quick. And of course Russell gets the extra advantage of being a lefty.

Not a coincidence that D-Will was my favorite player in the league (Jazz/Nets)
Before him, it was Kidd (Nets). Now D'Lo (Nets).

You ask this question after every non-Laker fan bashed him and called him a bust prior to the trade?

I was one of the few people here defending his game.

You're lucky that most of the anti-Russell threads were deleted, because people were shitting on him constantly and laughing at us for even picking him.

He's never going to be anything more than a high volume scorer if he continues to never get to the rim. He's taking a career low 12.7% between 0-3 feet and only takes 2.5fta's to 18.4 shots a game. He averages 20 points on 18 shots. That's just dreadful efficiency. In this game, for instance, he only took 6 fta's against 33 shots. :biggums: He'd have to develop into a Curry level shooter to be ever be an efficient scorer in this league if he continues to be a dud at getting to the rim and then to the ft line. It's hard to see him improving in those aspects as he's just extremely slow footed. I suppose he could develop some of those cheap ass James Harden moves on the perimeter, though.

They gave him for Kuzma.
They draft Ball over Tatum.

Also, they did not sign 23 years old Randle and signed a 4-year contract with 33 years old Lebron. :banghead:

D'Angelo-Ingram-Tatum-Randle young core would be much better that Ball-Ingram-Kuzma.

Imagine Lakers have D'Angelo-Ingram-Tatum-Randle and a huge cap space now... And their coach is Walton, probably they would be next GSW and dominate the leage in 20's. :facepalm

D Angelo was very lazy on defense and didn't possess any leadership qualities. I questioned Byron Scott for benching him, then Luke comes in and ALSO DIDN'T like D'Russ. He leaves along with other players like Lin and the team improves from 29th in defense to 12th best.
Yes, he looks good now, maybe because he is more matured at age 23 and of course he works much HARDER because IT'S CONTRACT YEAR=LOOKING FOR A GREAT DEAL.
BTW, Lakers got Kyle Kuzma and his 20 pts 6 rebs for him along with FREEING 32 Million committed to paying Mozgov.
I didn't like releasing Randle but he wanted multiple years= 9 Million short of offering a max contract to a superstar next summer.

Who knew that giving up on promising 2nd overall picks after their second year was a bad idea?:facepalm

Lakers could have gotten Kuzma at #28, as Brooklyn wasn't reportedly interested in him and kept D'Lo.

The player he was traded for (Brook Lopez) just dropped 28 and 9 the other night. It's more why didn't they keep Lopez considering he wanted to stay in LA and Walton wanted him to stay on the team. It appears Lopez was traded to make room for McGee to start.

Wow this one of dumbest things I've ever heard. Kyrie is a beast deep in post season. We haven't even seen snitchboy in the playoffs yet. He's gonna get exposed come playoff time.
