That two of the three Thunder stars would go on to have multiple 55+ point games over the next seven seasons, and Durant wasn't one of them?

At this point, are we going to rate Harden over Durant as a scorer?

KD's 2nd and 3rd options are the GOAT shooter and another top 5 shooter of all time. Harden's 2nd and 3rd options are pass-first old CP3 and 15 PPG Clint Capela who have both missed several games this season. You don't think if KD was in Harden's situation he could be putting up similar scoring numbers?

KD averaged 32 ppg in a time where the league wasn't quite as open as it is now, and when Westbrook was out he was averaging even more. KD could easily put these numbers RIGHT NOW in this exact situation that Harden is in, but one it would be dumb to do that in the Warriors and two he's also clearly more concerned about winning these days. We already know how great of a scorer he is, arguably the best since MJ

Coming into the league, I expected Durant to have several seasons averaging 33-35 pts, doing things like Harden has done this season (aka approaching MJ's 37). And doing it with ease. I didn't account for Westbrook (god bless him though) or the wimp move to GS. Sure he's more than capable, but shame we didn't get to see it.

If you put KD in either of these other 2 guy's situations, he def would also be dropping similar numbers. He's just as gifted as Harden offensively, maybe even better.

But only one of them is a 2x FMVP.

Soooooo what's more important here?

The regular season is nice and all but he needs a little bit of hardware.

There's no doubt he is an amazing offensive talent but he needs at least one ring.
