You make some excellent points. Nets might have made since when they were the New York Nets and New York also had the Mets and the Jets. But now that the Nets are affiliated with Brooklyn it's time for a name change. Another good reason I can think of is money. The current Nets logo is pretty blah. Granted, there's not much that can be done with a name like "Nets". Knights would allow the team to debut a much more dynamic, exciting logo. If they can bring in a superstar at the same time they could sell a ton of jerseys.

Facts. They can change their current logo into a shield with a B in the middle. They can make it a Knights helmet. So many options to choose from
