This looks mediocre.
Brad Pitt is old as ****.
Leonardo is one of the most famous actors in Hollywood, but yet, I still feel like he's one of the most underrated. He really is a genius on film.

That's pretty much the story of DiCaprio's career :lol
I personally welcome any proper film out of Hollywood that's not a reboot, remake, prequel or sequel or superhero shit.

Pacino is a guy you can put in a movie and give less scenes and lines to him than the other stars overall and he still out shines them based on delivery alone. Take Glengarry Glen Ross for example:
Ricky Roma : You stupid ****ing ****. You, Williamson, I'm talking to you, shithead. You just cost me $6,000. Six thousand dollars, and one Cadillac. That's right. What are you going to do about it? What are you going to do about it, asshole? You're ****ing shit. Where did you learn your trade, you stupid ****ing ****, you idiot? Who ever told you that you could work with men? Oh, I'm gonna have your job, shithead.
Williamson : [handing Roma lead cards] I'm giving you three leads...
Ricky Roma : Three? No, I count two.
Williamson : There's three leads there.
Ricky Roma : "Patel"? **** you.

Never really got the appeal of this guy. He was good in his early roles (This Boy's Life, What's Eating Gilbert Grape). Tough Guy/masculine lead type roles dont suit him.

Nah. He just isn't masculine enough. He doesn't have a commanding physical presence or a strong voice. It doesn't work.

He's a pretty good actor, but I've always thought he was overrated a bit. You know who is a great actor? Sam Rockwell. He's not 1/10th as popular as Leo is, though.

I wish Taranteno would have made a straight up Manson film. This idea of making the movie about two actors is lame.

I have a feeling the Manson murders will play a bigger part than the trailer made it seem. The trailer wasn't very good, honestly. The entire marketing of this film just seems pretty shitty.

One such night where the ***** Posse’s combination of shameless conquest and rush to fight for Leo came together happened shortly after Titanic made DiCaprio Hollywood’s biggest star. The actor, along with his Posse friends, spotted Elizabeth Berkley of Saved by the Bell and Showgirls fame at the premiere for The Man in the Iron Mask and decided she needed to be partying with them. As they surely did a thousand times before with a thousand different girls, the Posse sent L.A. publicist Karen Tenzler to corral Berkley. “She said, ‘Jay Ferguson and Leo are going crazy for you, and they want you to come to Elaine’s after this,” Berkley told Sales. The only problem? Berkley was dating actor Roger Wilson, which DiCaprio and Ferguson knew. As did Tenzler: “Without Roger,” she specified to Berkley. Berkley balked, and the day after got bombarded with calls from Ferguson and Tenzler until Wilson tried to step in. “I said, ‘Look Jay,’” Wilson told Sales. “‘I know you guys are having a great time and the town is your apple—but not this part of town.’”

At a party for the premiere of The Man in the Iron Mask in 1998, actress Elizabeth Berkley caught the eye of DiCaprio and Jay Ferguson. Berkley had a boyfriend, actor Roger Wilson, and she declined their invitation to go to the after-party. This didn't deter the Posse, who got Berkley's phone number and relentlessly called her home.

Wilson later dated Elizabeth Berkley from Saved by the Bell in the late 1990s. In 2000 Wilson filed a $40 million lawsuit against Leonardo DiCaprio after he alleged DiCaprio had encouraged his friends to physically assault Wilson after an argument relating to Berkley. Wilson claimed his larynx was badly damaged. DiCaprio was alleged to have pursued Berkley whilst she was in a relationship with Wilson and Wilson confronted DiCaprio over the accusation

He's never been irrelevant since the mid 1990s. Every movie he's in will get attention. Especially if it's with a major director.
Just saw Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and he and Brad Pitt are exellent.
I really enjoyed the movie. I'll be rewatching this again.

I watched it yesterday, thought it was a decent film all things considered, but compared to the rest of tarantinos catalogue it was pretty weak IMO.
I thought the first ~30 mins or so was pretty damn boring... kind of the opposite of how tarantino films usually start.
all in all it was a solid movie but fell short of my expectations

its crazy how much the film changed from what was described in the original wikipedia article... i wish there was a way to see the original version of the film

spoilers below
Cliff and Rick return to the ranch and walk into a murder plot where Manson's female army have kidnapped Tate and several others, with the intent to kill them. Rick, Cliff and Bruce Lee (Mike Moh) brutally defeat the Manson Family cult in a shoot out/kung-fu showdown. Tate is saved but Cliff dies. Despite his career having not amounted to his ambition, Rick acknowledges it is the end of an era and that the Hollywood spirit will live on.
Sounds like the initial cut was a lot more interesting and more "Tarantino-esque" than what was released
