This guy is a good defender and has been billed for his athleticism, but geez, he is so slow and un-fluid. I think that even more than his lack of handle will keep holding him back.

Between him and Tatum and recovering Hayward, Celtics' wings don't look so great going forward.

What's holding back is his stupidity. There is nobody else in the league who makes as stupid and idiotic plays this guy does in the open court. He's selfish as hell.

hes just fast, strong, and can jump... but lacks like you said the fluidity or agility that make elite athletes look incredible ~ iverson, wade, jordan, kobe etc

It would have been nice to see him get more minutes and develop further; however, with Hayward back in the mix Brown is playing 4 fewer mpg this season. He actually was the Celtics leading scorer in the 2018 ECF against the LeBron Cavs so you have to give him a bit of credit there, as that was a very high pressure moment for such a young lad.

When you have Morris chucking 20 shots a game and playing 35 min a night it kind of stunts your growth

He has bad handles and low BBIQ, which is ironic for a guy who tries hard af to seem smart

True :lol

Although he is shooting 5.2 3's per game at 38% (impressive)

But then again, he is also shooting 11.3 FGA at 46%

That's the thing though, he doesn't even look fast lol. Like, he looks pretty slow in the open court and the halfcourt. your handle doesn't have to be elite to get by people

He's shooting 38% for the season but that number's mostly inflated due to the hot start he had. It used to be in the 40's until February, and since then he's been trash.

He reminds me of my current self

Body of an athlete without any of the explosiveness

Looks fool

I go to my local gym to ball and because Im black and look like Kobe athletically, I just jab step and I got all these whiteboys flying back :lol

Little did they know that my first step basically died in 2014 and I can't even grab rim anymore yet they give me 6 feet of space when guarding me

Uh, hot start? Didn't Jaylen Brown have one of the worst 15-20 game starts imaginable for a guy who played as well as he did last year?

Dudes have been bringing up stats but that doesn't answer the question.he is very athletic according to the norms.

He is a big shooting guard (6'7") who is quick enough to guard point guards and big enough to handle small forwards as well. Although he has great hops and decent quickness, you can see that he tries to play under control. The way he runs and carries himself on the court indicates that he keeps plenty of explosiveness in reserve.

He most certainly is athletic.

Yep, I was referring to Morris.

Brown is the complete opposite, terrible start but great recently. It's like him and Morris basically swapped bodies :oldlol:
