This kid's a teen in 2019 and the next big thing and even he wants to emulate his airness:eek:

"For those people that just think Michael Jordan was an offensive player, he was a great defensive player. He won defensive player of the year and I'm just striving to be like that... He's the greatest player of all time."

When a kid from Duke, of all places, who wasn't even born when MJ won his last championship, says this...well,

Guy has the raw talent to get on that GOAT tier level. I also see a lot of dog in this guy. You can tell how much a guy cares on how he plays D. Zion brings it on D, just like MJ always did.

MJ fam should welcome him to the fam. Real recognize real, game recgonize game.

Personally, I could NEVER relate to any bball player that didn't care about D. That just tells me you're not all in on winning because not trying on D means you give your opposition a greater chance to win. Like how can you ignore half the game? That just never registered with me. :yaohappy:

He'll need a good owner that will put the right pieces around him, but unlike LeBron, he won't demand all the wrong pieces.

You won't hear shit from him like "Larry Hughes or I walk"

I can't think of any better owner than Dan Gilbert to get the job done.

Kid's already showing much more intelligence than Lebron James.

So true man. And that's the sad part. Youngsters get mis-directed today by these layman stats, Wright/Cowherd, ESPN, etc. If they had just seen MJ live, they would just KNOW. Not their fault though.

Z is a media savvy kid. Now is not the time to make headlines off the court. Of course he’s gonna give the PC answer.

The truth is he respects Bron more.

2 posts ridiculing a poster they suspect is too young to have seen Mj live, in a thread about a likely even younger man saying he idolizes a man he's too young to have seen.....

Not a bad player to idolize, if Zion can achieve a 1/3 of MJ it will be a major success. Good luck to you young fella
